Anti-Trump Hysteria and Silliness

Maybe it wasn't so much about policy as it was about personality, attitude.

Some of it was, but you can't just ignore the policy end. People got tired of watching progressive policy move further left while they were having trouble making ends meet in a floundering economy.

I know that if we got involved in a trade war with any significant trading partner, and that if Trump is successful at restricting H1B visas - that would be devastating to our economy. I'd definitely move to Canada. Probably find a job in the newly minted Canadian tech sector.

How do you even define trade war though? There's a constant ebb and flow between free trade and protectionism.

Why not move now?

The only one hysterical these days is Trump. Carl Berstein rightly described our new and unprecedented "malignant presidency." Fox "news" went after Obama for eight years. Obama ignored that network and didn't pay much attention to the media generally. Trump has decided to stop being president--not that he ever started--and now spends most every day attacking the press. He's unhinged.

Obama ignored the media? Is that why his DOJ had reporters under surveillance?

LG not knowing what it's like being President is one thing. Donny Trump not knowing is an entirely different matter and he IS in the real world.

But see you are missing the big picture. LG has no clue about anything. I mean the guy once said the owner of a gun should be held liable for whatever damage it inflicts if its stolen.

Also, anout the only ones erroneously claiming Trump doesnt know what he is doing are whiny, sore loser democrats. I completely understand. You still cannot comprehend and accept the loss. But in reality, all you are doing is making yourselves look idiotic. But I expect nothing less from people who let something as infinitesimal as a presidential election get them so emitionally crippled that they need safe spaces and therapy rooms. How you can actually claim allegiance to the democratic party after this past election is beyond me.

Your party has redefined what hysterical and dumb means. Obama ignored pretty much everything that concerned the people who voted for him.

Exactly who are our "significant trading partners" that wouldn't be hurt worse by us not buying their stuff versus them not buying our stuff? Mexico, Canada, China, Europe? If we cut off trade with any one of those countries they would go into instant recession if not a depression.
We are the worlds consumers, we can F up any economy in the world whenever we want by quitting trade with them and that gives us a lot of leverage with everyone.

Ignored the media? I guess you mean with the exception of hacking the associated press, bugging Sheryl Atkinson's computer, labeling James Rosen an unindicted co-conspirator for just doing his job, issuing subpoenas to countless other reporters to try to force them to reveal their sources and testify in criminal cases. Plus his administration prosecuted nine cases involving whistle-blowers and leakers compared to three by all other administrations combined. Sounds like he really ignored the media.

I am a conservative, I am very concerned about the economy, the lack of growth, and the difference between wage increases and cost of living increases. Not favorable.

Why do I take issue with Trump? I've said it before on here. His language - not only is it unbecoming of a president, it doesn't mesh with a democratic society. Reminiscent of Chavez, Erdogan, Duterte, Putin, etc.

The battles he chooses to fight - why on earth did he put Germany on blast for our trade deficit with them? They spend no money in their own country, and we export more BMWs & VWs than we do Fords. Why did he attack the London mayor on the night of terrorist attacks? Couldn't have let that situation breathe for awhile? The MSNBC anchor, nobody watches that station anyways. He's a child.

His "economic policy" - you'll be 90 by the time tax breaks alone start to rebuild our infrastructure, if it ever works out. The idea that he championed coal energy is another great example of how out of touch he is, the emergence of cheap natural gas fracking is sending that industry to its grave. His hostility towards H1B visas, especially when we have a dearth of technical expertise in this country, is motivated by populism, not business sense. Between that and pulling out of the Paris Agreement, we could very well miss out on leading the next "tech-boom" like opportunity - green/renewable energy.

I think he's dumb. I think he has no vision. I think we were sick of corruption and ineffectual leadership so we shot off our noses to spite our faces - and if he gets us involved in any trade wars, I'll move to Canada.

At least he pisses off liberals...
It won't be as racially diverse as Memphis. Plus, it gets really cold in the Winter in most parts. L.L. Bean makes some nice Winter gear.

Yes he does and if there was a better alternative then I would vote for them.... Hillary stated in the emails that were hacked that she knows 15 dollars an hour would ruin the economy but she would still push for at least 12 to try and look like she cared about poor people..... stuff like that bothers me more than any trump tweet

You think Trump cares about poor people? Lmao

He's employed more of them than the Clinton's ever have.

How many of them had to sue get paid? The majority of Trump's dealings with the poor have either involved lawsuits with them, trying to take their land in Scotland to build a golf resort along the coastline (You've Been Trumped) or trying to use eminent domain to take an elderly woman's house in Atlantic City which he wanted for a limousine parking lot (The Hill and The Weekly Standard and The Guardian).

Majority? No, that would be the minority otherwise he'd have been run out of business with legal fees and fines.

Let's not exaggerate a few cases now.

Is any of those rumors against the law?
