That's not true. Mullen went from UF's OC to MSU. CBJ had two previous stops at lower level schools that Kelly had turned into championship contenders. You are proving my point, you want to pull only time at current school, which isn't a fair comparison since Butch had a greater climb from the bottom than Mullen had.
And as I pointed out before, you can't take his record at a lower level school and compare it to what a coach has done in the SEC West. They simply do not correspond to each other at all.
The SEC and the Big East/MAC are completely different worlds.A coach is judged on career wins or A side by side comaprison over the same period. You want the #s to say what you are trying to prove not what they really say!
That's an interesting accusation. You want data that doesn't correspond to the level of competition Jones has now to be included... to support your agenda.Percentages include all the data not just the data that you want to include in your agenda...Percentages are being manipulated by your time frame requirements.
I'd love to see him become a great coach at UT... but to date he has not proven he's a better coach than Mullen. In fact if you consider that Jones appears to have gotten significantly better talent than Mullen over the past 4 years and plays in a weaker division... you could say he hasn't proven to be as good.Butch Jones has won more in his career than Mullen and will prove to be a better coach in the long run and I am sure if he turns a corner this year, you'll jump right on the other side of the argument and forget wonder why you ever doubted him...lol
Go use some of the power rankings and then reevaluate what Jones' wins at CMU and Cincy mean. He simply didn't play good football teams. You can turn the #s all you want but as a head coach Butch has been better against the competition he has faced!....that is a fact not data can prove otherwise.
