D4H's 2017 NFL Draft Review (Best Picks, Best Drafts, and Predictions)

Oh so you watched every snap of every QB's career from last year's draft.

If you say you did, you might as well say you can fly too.

No, he said he watched "enough." If I remember correctly, he watched two of Kaaya's games, so I guess that's "enough."

You said that Josh Dobbs will lead the Steelers to 3 titles, will have multiple 300/100 games within his first 16 games, and will be the first QB with a 3000/1000 season. Unless Davis makes Jerry Rice look like a little b****, then there is no way he can be a greater player than Dobbs.

You continually make it obvious that you know nothing about the sport of football, or what qualifies as greatness.

There is a chance he does that. The NFL is a lot more pass happy now than ever before. Plus with the rules being the way they are, there is bound to be a receiver that comes along and breaks Jerry Rice's records. So why not Corey Davis? I think he's clearly the best WR to enter the league since AJ Green and Julio Jones. And honestly Calvin Johnson is the only wide receiver to enter the NFL since 1999 who is clearly more talented than Corey Davis.

Its tough for me to clearly pick who will be better but the top 3 players in this draft will undoubtably be Corey Davis, Myles Garrett, and Josh Dobbs. They will be the leaders of this extremely talented draft class.

And he thinks he's going to have multiple 300 passing/100 rushing yards against the best of the best defenses, after only doing it twice against college defenses.

The NFL will be easier for Dobbs to dominate than college. He won't have the anvil named Butch Jones around his neck anymore dragging him down.

With legitimate coaching and elite talent around him both along the offensive line as well as the skill positions, Josh Dobbs talent will flourish.

But he's somehow going to face the same college defenses? You can't pick and choose which variables will change.

Josh Dobbs destroyed the 2015 and 2016 Florida defenses that were loaded with high round NFL draft picks. He's already faced NFL type defenses in college and dominated them despite having Butch Jones holding him down and lacking any help along the offensive line or at receiver.

Even with the improved talent he will see from NFL defenses, Dobbs will have improved talent around him and better coaching that will allow his true talent to flourish. What we saw at Tennessee was only a peek into Dobbs true talent. In the NFL he will show everyone his full potential.

He was only 50% against UF in 2016 and threw for less than 90 yards in 2015. I get the impression that the "tape" you watch exists only in your mind.

A bunch of Bama defenders just got drafted, and Dobbs ended that game in the fetal position.

He dominated those NFL type defenses yet wasn't even a Heisman finalist nor first team All SEC. Hmmmm...

Dragging him down? CBJ practically created Dobbs. Hes the one responsible for Dobbs being drafted.

He broke Clowney's sack record as a true freshmen. He finished top 3 nationally in sacks over his 3 years in college.

Just because Derek Barnett was more productive in college doesn't mean Myles Garrett didn't live up to his potential. Myles Garrett was incredibly productive in college. And when he was 100% healthy he definitely lived up to his potential.

There are many great players in the NFL like JJ Watt that were not as productive in college as Myles Garrett. You guys need to understand that college and the NFL are different beasts. Just because Derek Barnett was more productive in college than Myles Garrett doesn't mean he'll be more productive in the NFL. If college production translated to NFL production, it would make drafting players a lot easier. But it doesn't which is why the draft is always a crapshoot.

When you're touted as this all-world, once in a generation freak athlete/player that everyone can't stop gushing over.....and you get that "sack record" because 80% of those sacks come against the likes of Sam Houston State and Texas San Antonio, and you're criticized for taking plays off and not playing hard all the time, then yes....it's fair to say he didn't live up to his potential at TAM.

But you use Dobbs college stats to prove he'll dominate the NFL?!?!

God you're the best troll ever or just plain retarded.

Of the 39 coaches that are ahead of Tomlin in all-time wins, only 8 have a higher win % than him. Many are in the Hall of Fame. Ridiculous post. His win % is better than Bill Cowher's and way better than Chuck Knoll's. Been 2 to Super Bowls, winning one, and won the division 5 times in 10 years. Most anyone reasonable would be ecstatic with that coaching performance. Not understanding the dislike. :ermm:

I took it as a sarcastic post saying D4H will blame Tomlin if Dobbs doesn't tear it up in Pittsburgh.

You think an NFL coach is willingly going to allow his QB to run 12-15 times per game (at minimum) to amass 100 yards? He'd have to avg 7 YPR on 15 rushes to get to 100 yards, which doesn't happen with any consistency in the NFL. More likely will need 20+ carries to reach that mark, and that won't happen. Dobbs rushing yards in college came from breakdowns in the pocket. With the great Steelers OL you speak of he shouldn't be scrambling for his life. Therefore, the yards will have to come from designed QB runs.

Dobbs torched UF to the tune of like 87 yards passing on 19 attempts in 2015.

Jon Gruden said he never saw a performance at Tennessee like what Josh Dobbs did in 2015 against Florida. He said it was the best performance of Dobbs career. Josh became the first NCAA football player in more than a decade to lead his team in passing, rushing, and receiving yards. Beyond stats, that was a game that had to be seen to be appreciated. Josh put the entire Tennessee football team on his back that day and almost single-handedly beat a NFL caliber defense. Just go and look back at the names on that Florida defense. It was a filthy group and Josh single handedly beat them before Butch Jones snatched defeat from the jaws of victory with his boneheaded calls.

Florida has more success in producing impact NFL defensive players than Alabsma so I put more stock in performing against Florida's defense than bust-u's defense.

No. Josh Dobbs was responsible for getting himself drafted. Butch Jones did nothing to help Dobbs in terms of getting help along the offensive line. And in terms of game planning he always held Dobbs back until we fell behind 2-3 TDs. Then he would let Dobbs loose.

Just watch how great Dobbs looks in the NFL. It will be a direct reflection of Butch Jones incompetence.
