the rings are for the players who earned them. They are happy to have them and those who matter to them are also happy for them.

they are not for us. If any of you think it is a bad idea, go originate a good one.

Rings have always been associated with Championships.......real ones.

What's your point? You think these kids don't deserve anything after a bowl win over Nebraska cause it wasn't a championship game? I mean it's not like the rings were just given to us, they were earned. I think this was just a clear excuse to bash CBJ when he didn't even have anything to do with it. The MCB is who gave out the rings, not Butch. Try again Sherlock.

Im not a Kentucky fan, so i dont really care what they do but yes that is stupid too and everybody laughed about it....just like everyone laughed about our MCB rings. If you want to chalk it up as trashing CBJ, then rock out, its stupid. Nobody is walking around flashing a MCB ring talking smack about it, which is all those rings are for.

You are missing the point entirely, and trying to defend Jones for no reason, other than it's obviously become a habit for you.

It doesn't matter if Jones, UT, the MCB, the man in the moon, or you gave them rings for winning a Dec 30th bowl game......It's silly.

Who said they dont deserve anything after bowl wins? The. Bowls provide all sorts of things for the kids. The MCB did not give them the rings, every report ive seen is that the University paid for them. Its dumb. Call it another reason to bash CBJ all you want. Im all for Championship rings, when you win a Championship. I think the BOB rings are dumb, but from what i understand the event provided them so ok. But hey, CBJ has three rings in four years, so we are doing great. At least this year we will be playing in Atlanta.

I think that's the issue with me. When every bowl game or special event is called a championship it devalues "championships". So how many "championships" are there now in college football? Let's see:

Divisional winners -2 from each conference that plays a CG
Conference winners- Legit IMO
Bowl game winners- How many bowl games are there?
Special Events such as B.O.B.- Seriously?

So there are 60+ championships in Div. 1 A college football?

The MCB wouldn't have ponied up that much imo. UT most likely covered the difference.
