You make an excellent point that sounds like the voice of reason. On that same line of thought, here's a secret for those who for whatever reason don't make bond.
If you're ever in jail and you messed someone's face up bad in a fight, if he can still move when he wakes back up, make him clean the blood up off the floor with towels and then drape the towels over the side of his bunk so guards don't notice it.

Just tell the person who had the accident to stay on their bunk if a guard says he has a visitor he can see through the glass in the visiting room for an hour. They can't make him see anyone, so that will sometimes work to give you another couple of days for his face to get closer to back to normal before it's noticed by guards or visitors because nothing good would come out of that for anyone. That way you don't have to catch extra charges inside just for handling your day to day business if you're running a store and someone doesn't pay on time.

Just kidding of course.

Rumor has it, that the police weren't called by the "victim". The hospital reported it.

I think Cinco de Mayo had a lot to do with the alleged altercation.

It's just like we thought but this has gotten as far as it has because apparently JS beat the guys face in. Unfortunate. This all comes down to how far his roomies family wants to take it. Either way JS is going to have to show out if he gets a chance on the field again.

I don't know the laws and I can't speak for anybody. All I can do is give my opinion on a forum, but it sounds like the family is deciding how they want to handle it and JS's representative has declined putting in a plea until the two parties have calmed down and had a chance at mediation or deciding how they want to proceed. Again... IMO

Maybe we're being a little harsh on the roommate? Couldn't it have been JS that called 911? I mean he couldve beat the crap out of him so bad that he called 911 to get his roommate an ambulance, and when he told the operator about the fight the operator sent a cop too. Idk maybe I missed some details

Another scenario may be that the hospital called the police. They call the police all the time on batteries, domestics, and many other type calls when the victim shows up there.

The hospital called the police from what I read --- JS admitted he did it at that point -- likely will on the hook for the medical bills and probably probation.

Definitely could be. My bad if I misunderstood the full situation. Thought I recalled hearing/reading that the roommate contacted the authorities.

It's been stated numerous times in this thread and newspaper accounts that Josh "finished it" by kicking the roommates face in when said roommate was lying on the ground.

You're cool with that and apparently a lot of people on the board are, too. But the law see's it differently.
