Last night's episode felt like the writers gave us Gus and believed that should have been enough. Kind of boring, really.

This show is so heart-wrenching. The one time Jimmy thinks "Chuck liked me for a minute" it turns out his brother was double-crossing him.

And I thought it was cool following Mike around with no dialog for half the episode.

It was Gus' first appearance. I didn't think he would have a large role this season. At least not early on. He was an extremely cautious person. I imagine he saw Jimmy acting suspicious on his video feed in his office and Gus coming through sweeping was an alert to his guy to cancel the drop.

I figured we'd see a little cat and mouse game as Mike and Gus feel each other out. When we met Mike in breaking bad he was Gus' top guy. He enforced. He investigated. He made pick ups. He distributed money to people. Right now he doesn't even know Gus exists.

There's a lot of story to tell about how Mike got involved with Gus. A mutual dislike of Hector Salamanca is a great start.

Awesome episode. Love how the writers introduce characters and let us speculate how they get to where they end up in Breaking Bad. Francesca is all DMV (sorry...MVD) by the time Walt breaks the window in Saul's office.

Yeah I think he definitely saw Jimmy acting weird and came in to call it off. The whole time I'm watching, I'm thinking "Gee Jimmy, I don't think you're being obvious enough".

I find this show really interesting on it's own. I never had enough time to keep up with Breaking Bad.

They're beginning to do the Breaking Bad thing, where the opening scene has significance but you have to wait to see why.

Changing of the guard. Those shoes were brand new when he threw them up there. Pretty gnarly when they dropped. How many years?

I figured that's what it meant seeing one of Gus' trucks on that route. I'd just assumed it would be this season. Breaking bad season two they hinted at least 2-3 episodes with the teddy bear before we saw the plane crash in the season 2 finale.

Looking forward to seeing if they show why Hector is in a wheelchair. When BB was still on it never occurred to me that hector might have been put in a wheelchair by a person. (Gus/Mike?) Always thought it was a medical condition.

They've taken a real slow pace with this show (love that myself). If they put Hector in the wheelchair, this season I think that knocks at least a season off the table. Gilligan supposedly wants at least six.

Think he gets killed off at the end by Mike. Think that Jimmy pays him to take him out, somewhat transforming jimmy into saul.

They didn't really make it seem like it was a factor, but anyone else notice when the prosecutor speaking with Chuck said it would likely go to trial, his tune did a 180 on Jimmy? Then it went to trying to find a solution that's best for everyone or something like that.

Makes me wonder if the thought of testifying in court and the difficulty he'd go through made him remember Jimmy's statement on dying alone in a hospital.
