Just in case it wasn't clear before, I wasn't questioning someone observing the Sabbath. I was questioning a manufacturer using it as a marketing tool.

FTR. I knew what you meant.

Tender and juicy, tasted great.

Good to know. I was confident it would be good or I wouldn't have suggested it, but wasn't sure how much, if at all it would dry out.

How you doing today?

My stomach feels bad. Would you ask your wife to make me something good to eat and send it to me?

A nice cold Jägermeister might help. Incidentally, I'm sure you know what Jagermeister is translated, right?

If you ever feel unloved on VN, tell us of the guilty party burdening you so, and we will convince them to be penitent.

Pretty sure it's the first time this Yank has had grits.

How do you make the dang things put up-and-down instead of sideways??

Question for you as well, vollygirl! :hi:

PC. lol

Seems like I remember taking the pic up and down (not turning the phone long ways) will keep it from turning.

Nicely done, is that paprika?

Just a note, It's good to see you and Kev posting pics of all these different types of fish, and no tilapia.

It is. EVOO, S&P, coriander, and sweet paprika while it broiled. Then paprika butter when I took it out of the oven. It didn't need the butter, but I put it on there anyway. :)

My grandma made chow chow and supplied my mom with plenty every year. I remember how much I liked it, as a teenager, but don't remember what ingredients she used.

My point is, I don't have a "family" recipe for it and I'm not sure what all she put in it. I've made it before but it never was like hers.

Is that why you say "if you have access to good homemade"? Are you in the same boat as me, or you just don't have time or make time to make it?

I have the recipe written down on how I made it last time, it was good, just not as satisfying as what I'd like.

My ex-husband's grandmother made the best chow chow I've ever had. I vaguely remember what she put in hers. I mostly remember how incredibly time consuming it was. Hers had just the right amount of everything. You couldn't identify one single vegetable, or spice. It became a complete flavor by itself, know what I mean?

I've bought jarred versions at the grocery store, and been disappointed every single time.

Okay Rachel (EVOO). :)

Butter on broiled or baked fish is mandatory, even if you are dieting. IMO.

It was honestly the most beautifully cooked piece of fish I've ever made. Maybe it's the oven honeymoon phase, but I was really proud of that fish.

Yea, I remember it being a huge process, but thinking about it now, I'm guessing it was because of using items from thier gardens and having to make so much of it at one time. Had to do something with all that stuff. They wouldn't dare think about going to the store to buy stuff to make it, much less a jar of it.

I know exactly what you mean! That is where mine lacked the most, That and the "heat", I couldn't get the heat right.

I might just make this a project. The best time to make it approaching.

What do you remember about it, ingredients specifically.

From here it looks perfectly cooked. Moist and flakey. Honeymoon or not.

You definitely like paprika more than I do. :)

I'm not the food expert you guys are, but I can confirm fruit loops with marshmallows are delicious.

I'm not a fan of cereal, but I remember loving me some Boo berry and Count chocula? When I was a kid. I think the Captain Crunch with Coors on a camping trip with no milk, when I was in my early 20's is what broke me from my cereal phase.

I'd say that didn't taste good!
