I've got Dodgers opening game streaming on my phone while at work, and just observed a rule change I hadn't heard about. SD intentionally walked the Dodger batter without throwing the four pitches. Apparently now they just give a signal from the dugout. I like it. Baseball is soooooo slow.

I can't believe that I missed this change. I am a traditionalist, but I don't have any problem with anything at this point (almost) that speeds up the game.

What about the airball 3 that stayed with Gonzaga? It goes both ways

That resulted in a 3 on that possession or the stupid foul call on Berry before he was slapped in the face on the flagrant. Five points handed to the Zags. He knows all that though, just likes to argue.

Not sure I agree. I would say it's close to the same as the shot clock play that they stopped play to review and make sure he got the shot off in time. They stopped it and checked it to make sure. Seems like making sure no part of a players body was out of bounds should be reviewable inside of 2 minutes. I would like to know for sure

One can challenge and it will be reviewed.

Steelers are a perfect fit for Dobbs. Mike Tomlin is my favorite coach in the NFL. Roethlisberger is always getting injured. If Dobbs goes there he would find himself on the field next season and if that happens I bet he doesn't give the job back. He's good enough to lead the Steelers to a super bowl.

D4Hyperbole strikes again.

Though I'm sure you'll find a way to argue, "Through NCAA spokesman David Worlock, national coordinator of basketball officials JD Collins said the play was not reviewable."

It happened in the extras during the Cards/Cubs opening night game. The Cubs were the first team to use the new rule to intentionally walk Yadier Molina and then Grichuk chunked the game winning hit to seal the victory! Didn't you watch?

LOL, I went to bed in the 7th. I had been at a dance competition for two straight days for about 14 hours each day. So, I missed the tying 3 run homer and the agonizing walkoff. Let's see what happens tonight.

I went to bed after the tying HR. I figured the Cubs magic from last season was bleeding over and the Cards were gonna piss it away. I watched the highlights the next morning and was kicking myself for going to bed. :banghead2:

Only thing I'm afraid of is having to pick up the check.

I really had to go to the bathroom. Just because I forgot to come back to the table and ducked out the back doesn't mean I left you with the check. Sheesh.
