Dangit I was tempering my expectations. Now I gotta go to talk crap to the Bama fans that infest middle Tennessee.

- Florida will not be any better, most likely.
- Kentucky still doesn't scare me
- UGA is tough... Got them at home
- USC benefitted from Dobbs worst game after too much studying, and Hurd quitting mid game. Got them at home
- Mizzou ain't Tennessee
- Vandy is not going to beat us in Neyland

???? how you don't have Brandon Johnson in there when he made plays last year him and byrd was the only wr making plays..he played more than Callaway..I guarantee you he starts game 1 on the other side of Jennings

Idk Callaway seems to be taking advantage of spring practices. First spring is usually big for guys development wise.

Regardless, I think they'll both see a lot of PT.

He was at the softball game on Saturday. Did a segment on the radio during the broadcast.

Yup, he went by all of the programs Saturday in a media tour. Sunday was not part of that.

Dear gracious you will be a great media member. Smdh

Yea, perhaps he was there because he is the Director of Athletics. I know I'm going out on a limb with that one.

The AD showing up at a random baseball game is not a normal event. Maybe that is how Currie likes running his program, but everyone was pretty surprised. It seemed like he was there to review the job of one of his coaches with the questions he was asking about the game/ his demeanor.

Really. Was he at the softball game cause he was keeping an eye on the weekly's?

You know maybe we should ax Ralph and Karen. They don't really fit in with our other coaches. They win too much.

Answered this in my response to your other post. He went by baseball on Saturday too. That was all part of his "new on the job" media tour.

Gotcha.

I don't think there's gonna need to be a lot of thinking about Dave's status. His contract is up. Just have to go hire a new coach this spring barring a major turnaround.

Yeah, I just hope something isn't done midseason. This season is what it is, I'd rather not put the players through that mess.

Wouldn't take it personal, Brandon is out with injury so obviously others are going to get the ink. I expect Brandon to be a big contributor this year but expect Callaway to be a big contributor too, we're going to need both of them to step up big time this year..

Yup, talked to him a little as well. He seemed pretty chill/ happy to be back in Tennessee, but you could tell why he was at the game.

How is one Sunday afternoon game going to help with his evaluation? It definitely will not make or break Serrano's prospects of remaining. Without a complete 180, it seems pretty obvious he will not be here next year. I truly don't understand what you mean when you say you could tell why he was there.

In FWIW column, listened to Ainge about an hour ago as he responded to a caller about what he is seeing out of the QB play so far. In summary he said if fans are expecting to see a running QB in JG they may be disappointed. He said he is very quick in a straight line when flushed, but that he is much like QD in QB play. He said what we all know that JG is about 6'4" with a basketball type body. He said QD has looked really good and that we now have two really good QB's on the roster with both of them.

That being said, Dobbs was not a true DT in HS. He developed the DT at UT. JG is the one that could do that if needed IMO. But it sounds like Ainge believes both are more mobile pro style at this point.

Yep. April 1 was his first day with two homestands in baseball and softball. He was simply being visible, and we would probably be concerned if he wasn't.

Edit: I see he was talking about Sunday.
