If Croom can work on his hands then he's an NFL player IMO. 4.6 at his size is a mismatch even at the NFL level, and the league loves pass-catching TEs right now.

I don't necessarily think he'll be drafted (though it wouldn't surprise me), but I do think he has a place in the league.

Croom had pretty good hands when he was playing WR. I think he probably just needs more time to knock the rust off and adjust to TE. I think he's one of those guys who may wind up being a steal because he's so new to the position but has all the advantages in the world physically to shine at it.

In BBs post he had Gaulden at SS. I was asking who he thought would be N in that scenario.

Then I said that I think they will keep Gaulden at N, even tho many think that isn't his best position.

I have also said SS for Gaulden all along. The counter side is the nickel is preparing him for what may be his best opportunity in the NFL, nickel safety. I just want him on the field making plays.

There isn't a scenario outside of injury where Gaulden isn't on the field as much as possible next year. He may not be a safety but he will be on the field. He is definitely one of our best four defensive backs.

Yea I was referring to taking Gaulden out of NickelBack and put him at SS and put Abernathy at NB..

Still haven't seen any numbers from Kamara but the UT Football Snapchat does show him doing RB drills. Did he not do any of the measurables stuff and only do RB drills?

I wouldnt think he does any measurable drills. He killed it at the combine, doesn't need to go through them again IMO

I went back and read your post again and I misunderstood it the first time I read it. Thought you were saying he wouldn't have good enough measurables.

I do think he could've had better production had he been at TE longer and the coaching staff was more comfortable using the middle of the field.

Yeah, I'm saying regardless of how good he does at pro day he isn't getting drafted. But I think he will test well and he's got good size. He should get a shot as a UFA.

So going off CBS Sports projected rankings...
Barnett 1
Kamara 2
Sutton 3
Malone 5-6
JRM 6
Dobbs 6

I am gonna guess that Kamara goes in the 3rd, Dobbs the 7th and JRM goes undrafted.

Alvin is going in the middle of the second round at the latest. Has a chance to sneak into the first

Alright. I'm done having to explain myself. If y'all think I was being hateful and immature...

Either your memory, or my memory, is fuzzy. Croom always had poor hands. That is what will cost him his chance at a sustained career in the NFL. Not big and physical enough to be a blocking TE. Not nearly good enough hands to be receiving TE. Based solely on physical traits, his best NFL opportunity was probably him playing OLB/DE hybrid pass rusher for the last 5 seasons. Too late for that now.
