Don't always agree with you, but you're spot on here. He's nothing but a troll. The guy changes opinions more than a fart changes directions in a hurricane, and it's always contradictory to the last thing he said. Also, add in the fact that his crazy, outlandish statements are almost always wrong.

That's the case with a lot of guys, though. Doesn't necessarily mean he'll end up getting suspended for anything though.

He's had 3 issues to date. The fight as a freshman, the drug arrest and now academic issues which held him out of the first week of practice. I agree with you generally, but he needs to pick it up and straighten up if he's gonna help lead this team.

His drug arrest was dropped, His academic issues were not nothing serious in nature either. The so called fight, okay. Let me just say on the surface a lot of that stuff may sound serious, but in what actually went down they weren't quite as bad as the headlines may have suggested. No doubt he needs to take care of business but JJ is a good guy, he will get through it better and stronger than ever. He will be fine. GBO!!!!

We'll need someone to step up and provide some depth at safety Griffin gone and Gaulden seemingly the top Nickel. Warrior, Kelly, and Abernathy will all be solid, but we'll need someone else to give us some snaps. Berry, Gray, Jackson?

So we agree. Drug arrest still happened, he made news for beating a kid up and he's not handling his business in the classroom. None of the individual things was particularly a big deal but taken together paint a picture of a guy not focused and not ready to be a team leader. I think he'll be fine as well, but needs to stay out of the headlines and get his priorities straight imo.

It is looking more and more like CBJ is giving extra attention to the WRs this spring. I would say that they are the position group where he wants the most improvement. And they need it. It's good that he has a lot of experience with WRs. This allows CBJ and Beard to split them up and give more individual attention. Hopefully, all the WRs will come out of spring much improved. In the videos I've seen of Beard, I really like his attention to detail and approach to teaching. Maybe we will see them running precise routes.

Can't believe Thomas was attending practice so soon after his surgery. It must have gone well. Sure wish he could be practicing.

Just to be clear, he didn't beat up a kid. The guy said Jennings pushed him, and the shove hurt his neck or something along those lines. It was the vandalism that was the bigger deal. And as far as I'm concerned, it happend when he was a minor and we shouldn't even know about it.

I'm thankful I didn't grow up in the public eye. I know being a scholarship athlete here is a privilege, but you have to remember that people don't always mature overnight. I'm not going to compare him to a player that got kicked off the team after multiple suspensions when it's not clear that he's had a single one.

He was accused of assault, theft and vandalism....we're splitting hairs. Just saying that team leaders don't do the things he's been publicly "caught" doing at this point. Think Dobbs, Barnett, JRM, Sutton, AK. As I said, taken individually, none is awful....but taken collectively, is there a pattern and ultimately concern? I'm a big JJ fan, love his on-field attitude, how he plays. Just think he's gotta get focused and have no more off-field issues.

You said "beat up." Not trying to split hairs, just pointing out the error. He was a minor, so what he was charged with is unknown. But I'd put money "assault" was not included.

I agree that a collection of incidents is a bigger deal than any one. My view is that he's had one - the drug possession. I also hope he continues to emerge as a team leader and has no other off-field issues. Remember he's still a teenager when playing the responsibility card. AK is a good example of getting past some early off-field issues to grow into a team leader.

Some of these people have no lives outside of this board. I think they actually keep spreadsheets on posts they disagree with so they can pounce on people down the road.
