Great news here imo. Looks like Warrior is stepping up. Jesse Simonton tweet....

Asked if @CHECK_UP_ has had a good camp, DC Bob Shoop says Y-E-S then raved about Warrior.
"He's probably been the best player in camp."

Time for TKjr to start working on them linebacker moves. His spot is officially taken.

I can't wait to see Micah Abernathy and Nigel Warrior starting at safety for us.

"Cortez McDowell looks like a 10 year veteran out there. Bituli will play a lot as LB as well. Austin Smith looks good coming back from injury."

Ha, just the fact that you think a guy with 150 tackles, 3+ years of sec experience, 8 ints and a fan favorite who honored a local teen that was killed by wearing his number is going to be replaced for his senior year is laughable, but I forgot you said last year kmac was a bust and now you think he's an all American....

Latrell Williams is going to be very good.

I'd hate to have to cover, or try to tackle, or get blocked by, or play against Jennings.

You get Williams, Byrd, Jennings and Wolf in on a pass play together and our opponents will have some serious speed and strength mismatches to deal with!

I don't know what it is about this kid McBride yet, but he is really making an impression on me. I might choose him in the bar fight.

I thought mcdowell had been here ten years.

This team looks legit. Hope everyone stays healthy.

There are some concerns, JJ can not do it by himself and some of these young receivers are going to to have to pan out. The line is going to make or break us this year, FIl's-aimes is a consern because Kelly can not do it by himself either. The fact that this team is built inside out for the passing game and we are not working on the deep threat also concerns me.

Tickled about McDowell and Bituli getting mentions by the DC. Those kids playing a lot last year will pay off for us this year is my bet!!

Aren't the QBs working on a 7 step drop? I thought that was designed for the deep ball.

It's really sad how all y'all continue to reply to D4H for the sake of likes with the same old recycled garbage.

For the sake of this board make him go 'Leb' by not replying.

I think the passing game will be alright. I think the success of the season will boil down to whether or not the Dline stays healthy and secondary improvements.

I have serious doubts that JJ will keep his head screwed on straight. It's already reared its ugly head twice. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he turns out to be another Pig Howard.

Dumb comparison. How many times has JJ been suspended? He's still growing up, sure. But he's not been suspended because of drug use multiple times, let alone once. He needs to improve his discipline away from the team, but he seems focused when with the team. Also, one of his incidents was when he was still a minor.

Pig was never suspended until the spring before his Jr season though. Danny O'Brien wasn't until his RS Jr season. Usually failed drug tests are kept in house and under wraps. Kids usually aren't suspended until a 2nd or 3rd offense.

Not trying to imply JJ will end up on their path or that he's on it or anything. But those guys both had 2-4 years under their belts before it became common knowledge that they'd had issues with drug tests.

TBH, very few on these boards have any idea how close JJ is or isn't to some sort of suspension ATM. I do think he's showed a lack of maturity that is somewhat troubling at the least. That's the case with a lot of guys, though. Doesn't necessarily mean he'll end up getting suspended for anything though.

Reports have been about them working on the short pass slant game, which is what I expected from a Butch team run by a tight ends coach. It's what EVERYBODY expects from them. I hope that they can get the deep ball going.
