In most position rankings Malone is not even in the top 20. Don't know that I agree with them, but I can see where he's not top 15. I do not recall a time he actually laid out for a pass like he will be required to do in the NFL. The coaches/scouts are not oblivious to guys that do not give maximum effort every play.

I'm in Ziti's camp on Kelly. IMO he's a good, not great RB that fights hard and runs well in this system. Lacks breakaway speed. Chandler appears more talented, but will not know until he gets worked into it. CFA appears to be a specialty back, not an every down type guy.

Ziti musta been a LB when he played. Kelly about to make him look foolish as well.

How so? I think he's a good back. Haven't said otherwise.

I don't think he will be sitting in the front row when they announce the heisman winner. And I don't think he is a top 3 back in the SEC. Keep in mind he was the number 3 back on Tennessee's roster last year.

Kelly has been very good for us in limited time as a backup. If he wants to take that next step this is the year. The backfield is all his.

And when he rushed for over 1500 yards on the season. Dude is shifty, hard to tackle, has great balance. He averaged 6.5 yards a carry last year, that's impressive even if it is against some of the lesser teams we played. He'll avg 5 ypc this season at least imo and break the single season rushing record. You heard it here

I think he has some of the same shortcomings as Justin Hunter. I don't see Malone having a productive NFL career. Hope to be wrong on that.

Me neither. If he's going to do it he's got to find a level of physical play that he never showed here.

He has potential though. And great size. Somebody will give him a shot I'm sure.

His talent level says 3-5. That being said, if he would have stayed and showed 2 consistent years of right around 1000 yards receiving he may be looking at a better grade. Seemed to passive at times his whole career, even last year when he had a great year. He will probably end up somewhere in the 5-7 rounds now like the mock drafts say.

Breakaway speed? Doesn't he have one of the higher recorded MPH oh the team? He was for sure the fastest of the 3 backs.

Yep. Arrogant isn't gonna keep up with receivers that running 4.4 40's. Apparently he still hasn't recovered fully from the broken ankles JJ gave him this past season.
