Not just that but let's say QD is the real deal for the next two years and JG stays. He'll have two years as well. The more experience with a system, playbook, and game can only help.

Does anyone else feel like Dormady is put in a no win, fall-guy type position this year, less we start 6-2?

This has 2014 all over again written all over it.

If the team starts poorly (4-4 or less) or Dormady gets injured by the Bama game. JG comes in, goes 3-1 or better, wins the bowl, and suddenly Butch can build hype going into 2018 and 19 the way he was selling 15 and 16.

It just seems like Dormady is going to get the job so that Butch can throw him under the bus for the promise of upswing for the next 2-3 years.

I think so too. I feel confident CBJ knows he has to win (now) so there wont be an issue of starting a younger (potentially) more talented guy simply for the future. If JG wins it and QD transfers I will have no issue with that. Competition is a good thing.
