Article: Why the Cleveland Browns are a perfect fit for Josh Dobbs

Not the Browns! Almost anywhere but there. How about teams in the south, such as Houston? Their #1 starter is going to Cleveland.

I'm not sure they can. If they cut him before camp it will be a violation of the rule against paying for picks. They have to trade him or keep him into the preseason.

$16 million to make to the first cut at camp.

awesome job.:eek:lol:

That's 1.5 more games than anyone available in the draft. If he were coming out this year, he'd easily be the first QB off the board, given how generally lousy this year's QB class is.

Exactly. Garoppolo was recognized by guys who specialize in QB's when he played at.... Indiana or Illionois I believe it was. But because it was Illinois nobody else paid attention. Then in the draft he showed out and everybody was like "am I crazy, this guy is this one of the best QB's in this class", again, he wasn't an espn name so... Then New Engalnd was like.... we're taking him..he's good. Then he showed out in the NFL the first chance he got taking over for Brady when he had NO BUSINESS showing out. Nobody expected anything of him, People were like "new england is doooomed"...blah, blah, blah, now they are taking him seriously.

The entire situation is really funny. But the guy laughing loudest should be Osweiller. Dude is making the easiest money short of winning the Powerball.

yep. the thing that should keep browns fans up at night is that with all that money they HAVE to spend, they aren't able to spend it on keeping any of their players.

so for D4h and dd that seem to think that this franchise is on the verge....check again. the reason they have so much money is that they haven't had, or got, enough players worth a damn to re sign to longer term, higher cap hit deals....and they can't sign nothing but free agents, still make all those draft picks, and keep it to a 53 man roster.

they're starting from scratch and throwing s**t against the wall hoping it sticks...and giving away millions of dollars in the process. and in the end, you still need a qb.

and it's hilarious.:eek:lol:

You don't know that. He was taken in the late 2nd round in 2014. Names like Blake Bortles and Johnny Manziel were taken far ahead of him. Are you gonna tell me Deshaun Watson has more question marks than Blake Bortles and Johnny Manziel? I doubt it.

This Jimmy Garapolo hype is no different than Brock Osweiler last year or Nick Foles a few years earlier. At least Osweiler and Foles built their false hype on more than 1.5 games.

Remember the talk was should Brady even come back because it looks like they have their guy at the time. all over the radio.

lol. says the guy calling Cam Sutton a future HOF.

you're funny. that's what you are. funny.

and none of that matters, all that matters is the browns apparently believe it, and were willing to take on $16 million and a qb that they apparently have no intention of ever letting see the field in order to attempt to get him.

cleveland rocks.

Unfortunately, yeah he does. I like Watson, and he's the top QB prospect in my mind. But he threw a lot of picks in college and he threw a lot of balls where he got bailed out by his receivers. He's got great form, and great touch, but there are legit questions about his decision-making. He looked great at the combine, but what will happen if he's behind a so-so line and his receivers can't simply jump over a DB to prevent disaster?

That Bortles and Manziel didn't pan out is just life in the league. Both of them would be drafted ahead of this year's crop of QBs (though Manziel should not have gone as high as he did, and only a franchise run by idiots would trade up to get him (and, here we are)).

This is how I know you know nothing about actual football, when it comes to scouting. Stop dude you are making yourself look really stupid I know you wouldn't say half these things if his wasn't a forum that doesn't require to give your name...

Pryor only got a one year deal worth $8 mill from the Redskins.

Really, really surprised he didn't do better. Even more surprised the Browns didn't try harder to keep him. Heck, they're paying Kenny Britt more than 8 mill per year.

I really think he can be good but he isn't there yet... He should of waited and went a two years and then ask for the contract.

Word was they offered 10 mill a year and Pryor or Pryors agent said nope, this is my year to bank.

If 10 million was on the table, and he took 8 on a one year deal, then he really wanted out of Cleveland.

I think he got played by his agent tbh. They stayed at the table so long with cleveland that everybody spent what they had to spend already. The rest of the money is already tied up in future plans. This is what I'm getting off the Browns fan forums so take it as you want.

DD, i'll give you credit. i'd of snapped by now. kudos for keeping your head.
