He's on Finebaum's show now on SEC Network.

• Mentioned that he was a big fan of Holly Warlick
• Noted the fan base and its support. How it was special because we wanted to win in every sport
• Called all coaches, including Butch, within 2 days and walked the facilities
• Task right now is to get reacquainted with Tennessee and everybody on Rocky Top
• Asked about Fulmer, said he would continue to involve everybody who was very special and important to Tennessee. But did not mention any specific role.

He just said he didn't get the feeling Phil would be involved in UT athletics in any capacity now, but that was just his feeling after talking to Currie.

If Currie reached out to him, and if Fulmer really wants what's best for Tennessee, he needs to let bygones be bygones and try to get over not being named AD.

I agree. Was just posting what Paul said.

I do thinks it's interesting. Yes, Phil needs to get over it, but he's not going to and everybody should know that. Not sure how it could have been handled differently, but it just seems like it could have.

:dunno:

I don't think I've ever heard anybody talk more and say nothing. He danced around every question that Finebaum threw at him. I hope he's a better AD than he is at interviews.

Sounds like Finebaum being Finebaum. Stirring the pot. Doesn't sound like Currie gave him any real basis for that assumption. Perhaps Fulmer will be involved in fundraising activities.

It's too early for him to say much. He's just entering the introductory, get aquainted phase.

JC should know we are a loyal, passionate, hungry, and demanding fanbase that is fed up with mediocrity. Demand the best form every coach and provide the leadership conducive to a winning culture across the UTAD . Good luck JC.

Did you hear it?

I ask because I didn't actually hear the interview, just Paul commenting afterwards.

No. My remarks were based on posted information about the interview and PF's typical MO. Sounded like Currie was not tipping his hand about anything -- and if so, then it seems to me PF had no real basis for his assumption.

I don't listen to Finebaum often so I don't know, but I find it hard to believe he had no basis for his assumption. From everything I've heard and read, I have reason to think the same. It seems Phil is pissed and it also seems nobody really cares. I'm not saying they should, but come on.
