Again, if you believe the tweet is innocent and not at all related to what just happened yesterday, that's absolutely your prerogative. I certainly wouldn't want to imply things without providing concrete evidence -- that would be inappropriate.

I see nothing wrong with the tweet. If you and others want to dissect it and make it negative then that's your prerogative. :hi:

This. (And I don't do crossfit, curretly.)

As with any form of exercise, it's about respecting the movements and doing them safely.

The reason it has such a stigma isn't because it's inherently unsafe, it's because Crossfit Inc has churned out thousands of of diplomas for their level 1 certification to people who have no business teaching compound barbell movements.

If you're somebody who knows what you're doing or have a coach who knows what they're dong, you can absolutely do compound barbell movements safely as part of a "metcon."

There are definitely valid criticisms of crossfit methodology, and it won't turn you into anything close to Rich Froning, but it can be effective as exercise for the average joe or as supplementation to elite athletes.

You have any insight into Jeremy Foley's personal relationship skills? Mal Moore? (RIP), Doug Dickey? Frank Broyles was a bur in the shoe of every coach that served in his long tenure as Arkansas AD and that was when handshake deals were are good as the notarized versions. Admittedly, the modern day CEO AD was never confused with the Fayetteville version, but being hard nosed and dogmatic is the more common characteristic of the program guardian than huggable glad handers. Not going to guarantee Currie's longterm success but have seen nothing to dissuade my confidence in him.

Why can't the UT administration get anything right? I'm so ashamed to be a Tennessee fan sometimes. EVERYONE says hire DB and of course they don't. You can lead a horse to water...

It just seems to support the general feeling that we have no unity on the BOT, no sense of purpose and a bunch of members who are self-serving much more than serving the university than they are supposed to represent.

Apparently Dr. Bev wasn't happy with the hype and support around fulmer and db over month prior to the search. My response would be that she brought it on herself by insisting her majorly delayed involvement.

If Blackburn had been hired, I'd be on here right now defending him against posters doubting his experience. If Fulmer had been hired? I'd be hoping for the best. :)

Lol..sounds about right. I did not want Fulmer either, at all. I think Currie is a better candidate than him. And no I don't hate Phil, I just want him to smile and shake hands and do what he is good at now.

I think Blackburn would have been a lot more unifying, but that's only based on impressions of the fan base. Obviously he wasn't very unifying to the people who matter.
