Neither are upset they didn't get the job. It's more about the knife that was placed in their back by the university that both men loved and respected. You go on on about how it's a dog eat dog world but when you get screwed by people you thought were your friends it tends to cause rifts. Rifts that we don't need. You are criticizing Blackburn for being unprofessional while at the same time defending those that were about as unprofessional as it gets.

It's obvious you and I disagree on this but to me it comes down to class.

Come on inVol..tell me. Whose houseboy is Currie? Haslams or Andersons?

Hiring a previous Ad of the year at one of the handful of schools working in the black with the top APR in Big 12 is hardly a crap hire. Major improvement in facilities. The guy knows what he is doing on the business side of things zero question on that. It sounds like he needs to work on his personal part

The personal part is what matters to me. I don't give a crap how good an accountant he is. I want to know that winning is the most important thing...not profit margin.

I'm confused now. Are we hating Blackburn now or fighting with him? I need to know as to what to do with my....er what my friend needs to do with his/her pitch fork. Thanks in advanced and asking for a friend.

LAFT. I think we need to establish a common enemy. Wait, we have one, or even several.

We do hate Bama, Florida and UGA. That should be enough hate to go around.

Still, we insist on eating our young.

There are professional and there are unprofessional ways to handle being mistreated. This, along with his earlier deal about Alabama being so good and decisive in their hiring process, is petty.

Well maybe if he would have been shown even the smallest degree of professionalism he would have returned it in kind. Also, I see nothing unprofessional or disrespectful about his tweet.

They aren't grown men in a dog eat dog world? Are they crying themselves to sleep on their giant pillows?

I don't know what went down and neither do you. I doubt that either of them is having any trouble sleeping at night. They love Tennessee and that is without a doubt. That's all that I need to know.

No they wouldn't...They really don't give a crap. They have been fed a steaming pile of crap, and they want more. I am not on board with this crap hire...at all. Not that it matters. This dude Currie sounds like a effin jackass to me. Whose ass did he moist up? You know who, and I know you do.

You really ought to quit mincing words and say what you mean :)

Well I'm done. I'm not going to Bruin this up anymore. The horse is dead and beaten profusely. It's time to take it on to the glue factory.

I honestly have no idea. I think it reeks of a compromise hire. The person I talked to said he knew the guy and was sort of neutral. He really wanted a VFL in charge, thought someone with their heart in it was important. He is upset at the way Blackburn and Fulmer were treated but at the same time said he needed to not let that jade him as it pertains to Currie.

I did not criticize Blackburn. I don't care what he says on the tweet tweet. Our fans are so friggin' entitled its insanity. We have an AD. Were some feeling hurt in the process? Sure. Well rub some dirt on and lets get going with this thing. It will either work or not work. Either way "feelings" are irrelevant.

So many accusations. So little evidence. How exactly was Blackburn mistreated? And please be specific.

I can't share that information out of respect for the person that told me. I have an idea it will come out sooner or later. I will say this that bridges were burned. Whether they can be rebuilt remains to be seen. I think it's very telling how Coach cancelled an interview last night.

He did not get a full interview and Chris Low said he was shocked by that. I don't know any other details. I do know that our BOT and administration has not always acted in the most professional manner.

"They started it" is an argument that loses its punch after about the first grade.

He has every right to be upset. Airing dirty laundry in public is the wrong way to handle that. If you don't think it's dirty laundry, that's okay. It rubbed me the wrong way but I'm not going to pretend my feelings are universally shared or correct or anything.

Well he obviously kissed the right ass or asses. Kudos to him for his prescience in that regard.

That's the job. The AD is a CEO...not a baby kisser. Winning games is a result of winning coaching staffs...whom you have to PAY. Back to money.

I get that, but having personal relationship skills is a absolute necessity in this job also. If he's not able to hire good coaches, or maintain good working relationships with coaches he has, then what effing good is he?
