You think I'm a liberal? Or is that just your Pavlovian reaction? This is censorship of free press. I, and any other freedom loving American, should think this is a pretty big ****ing deal. At the end of the day the opposition has a role to play in a free country.

Calm down Francis. The world hasn't blown up yet.

Full article here. Sounds like the President and MSM are in a pissing contest. Extremely petty actions from both sides. Yay for years of this garbage...

The irony here you guys fail to realize when talking about *****ing and whining from the left is that Trump is acting like the biggest snowflake of all and now he is starting to create his own safe space for briefings.

Trump needs to just shut up and do his job. Don't have to like the press, but this vendetta crap is absurd and cowardly.

I, for one, am already tired of propping up his businesses with my tax dollars.

What are we at now: 10 or 11 million tax dollars and counting?

I'm surprised his sorry butt isn't going to Mar-a-lago this weekend. I guess the next then.

Thanks, GV.

Looks as if it's just a one day thing. I believe I remember Spicer, during his first daily brief, saying that they were gonna try some different things with the media.

Anywho, One day is not a ban, imo. I'm glad they are shaking up these media elitist. Give some others a chance. Bravo!

Meh, not a big fan of this. CNN did say there was a "list" they had to sign up for and the gaggles were typically informal type situations. If memory serves, this was done from time to time during the Bush and Obama Admins, but I'm not sure how it's decided who gets to go to each. But it's rotated around.

I think I'll wait for more info prior to jumping to "SCREECH" levels.

From what I'm reading AP and Time were allowed but are boycotting because others were not allowed. I can't find if they were actually allowed, but if they are boycotting I'm assuming they were. Not sure how you can boycott when not allowed in the first place.

I think it is an unsettling development. That being said, I think it is hilarious that these Formerly state sponsored propaganda machines are being shamed and shut down by somebody who is sick of their never ending parade of horribles as it pertains to Trump and Co.

That's their right.

True, but if this was done under the Obama and Bush Admins I don't remember others boycotting in response. This might be the first time this has happened. Not sure though.

If this is the first time then I absolutely and vehemently disagree with this action. The press has its issues for sure, but it's necessary to a free country and Democracy.

That's surprising because it's not about the news, it's about being first to report the news.

If it's a small gathering with limited numbers, obviously someone is not going to get a chair when the music stops. Perhaps this time it was CNN, NYT and the LA Times.

Let's face it, NBC, CBS and ABC aren't exactly Trump-friendly and they got in, so I'll still put myself into wait and see mode until it's time to reach into the LG "SCREEEEEEEEECH!" levels.

I would be on board with this if it was a mix of friendly and unfriendly press left out. That doesn't seem to be the case though.

Banhammer!

When I try to report fake news about Freak, I'm swiftly punished for my insolence and required to supplicate in front of him before being allowed to rejoin my fellow plebians.

Such is life.

Most anti-American administration we've seen.

But to listen to these most exceptional of snowflakes around here, they're "American nationalists."

I'm very disappointed in you Prof. You let LG beat you into starting another Trump thread.

You're grasping with this. LG and most of the media are wolf criers. Once a real wolf attacks, no one will listen.
