Again....More proof that, to some, if it's clad in Pantone 151, it's obviously above reproach.
Some have their agendas and are going to run with it no matter if CBJ hired a staff full of Eagle Scouts. This place is awesome.![]()
I'm not here to hammer the guy....Mistakes happen.
The unbelievable thing is the uneccesary bad press this program and administration continues to heap on itself.
Or sice he's wearing Pantone 151 you actually care for some reason.
Honestly, would you even give a damn if another school's OL coach got a DUI?
No, you wouldn't, this is just your blind hatred again. Is this Butch's fault, too?
Good lord.
I do care, precisely because of Pantone 151. That's why what I view as bad decisions by the administration concern me. It's my school. I wouldnt care if it was Alabama, or Florida...But I would ridicule it like most here.
I've not mentioned Butch Jones, nor have I ridiculed Wells. He made a mistake many have made. This is on the administration for rubber stamping the choice, and allowing this story out two days later. They didn't do their job.
We should hold him accountable for his actions. That is part of what it means to be an adult. It's an idiotic thing for him to have done could have killed someone. Pretty ignorant of someone to brush over something this serious.
He was not convicted, only charged. You're evidently not aware that law enforcement has turned into a business and they charge anyone and everyone they can. Again, he was not convicted of a DUI, which means, by the letter of the law, he did not drive drunk.
Good Lord to you, sir. You're letting a man's single mistake get your panties in a bunch.
This is a non issue. The worst that happens is reporters ask a couple of questions...oh no!!!!
It's not like we're getting a post season ban.
Hyams is a damn clown in "reporting" this ****. Everyone knew back then when it happened, even Hyams.
Just answering the questions you posed friend.
My point is not about Wells, it Butch, or anyone else. It's about the lack of leadership in the AD that would veto or approve decisions like this based upon the best interest of the University. I'm certain if it were to happen again, especially if somebody gets hurt, the common fan will suddenly become interested in the way it makes the school look.
Then again, if there is enough Orange, maybe you wouldn't care.

What is there to approve or disapprove anymore?
-Suspended without pay: Check
-Told to attend classes and completed classes:check
-Monitered over the last year:Check
Our AD didn't bail this guy outta jail last week and make him the OL coach. I hate to say it, but there was a process.
There is nothing to approve or disapprove...It's already done. I think that's established, and the problem.
The issue was hid, addressed, and never mentioned until after the hire.
Definitely two schools of thought here, like always.
So you believe every arrest for every member on the staff should be released or that Butch Jones shouls interrupt the middle of his press conference to inform everyone that the new hire was arrested for a DUI a year previously?
Guess my question is, what is your protocol? How do you conduct this, since you seem to be so in tune with how it should play out.
