Found this interesting. This is a breakdown of prospects signed by conference division

SEC West teams signed 173 players:

- 5* = 11
- 4* = 66
- 3* = 82
- 2* = 14

SEC East teams signed 170 players:

- 5* = 2
- 4* = 50
- 3* = 102
- 2* = 16

Rankings are according to Rivals, and based on Rivals' rankings, the two 5*'s from the East were both signed by UGA. Seven of the 11 West 5*'s were signed by Bama, three for LSU, and one for A&M.

The East has great depth.

Lol.

Just looking it all over briefly, it seems the West's star distribution is highly influenced by Bama and LSU, who account for basically half (30) of the total 66 4*'s. Otherwise, it appears the teams within the conference are pretty even outside of maybe UGA.

From looking at the overall team rankings and outside the conference, it is even more clear than last year, IMO, that the SEC is not going to be the dominant conference it was once perceived as being.

I think this is an effect of the Bama dominance. The SEC won't see this in fact they'll refuse to see it, but if they keep pumping Bama then the rest of the SEC will suffer because recruits will see it as "if only Bama is good then why should we go to the other SEC schools" and that will make them look at other conferences that have 3 or 4 constantly at the top instead of just 1

SEC needs to take Bama's cheating seriously and investigate it

Well, we all get caught up in focusing on the amount of talent a team can compile. That's hugely important, obviously. But, we also forget that the coaches matter a lot. LSU has an amazing amount of talent, but I'll take the "see it to believe it" approach with them with Orgeron as the HC. I think he'll do better than his time at Ole Miss, but I'm not sure by how much. It will be interesting to see how UGA performs in its 2nd year under Smart. They weren't a young team last year despite some of their fans' excuses, and with elite talent on their roster, they had a couple pretty bad losses.

I just want the refs to fairly ref the game. LSU would've had a better chance last year. Barnett would've had 3 or 4 more sacks against them in his career. Just the general disregard for many obvious penalties that are never called.

You mean that Defense that needed 5 turnovers from VT to win? That defense that smothered Ohio and kept them to from moving the ball all day? That same defense that allowed UGA to put up 31 and hit a 40+ yard explosive play because their coaches were too da*& stupid to have the CBs walked off the LOS at least 10 yards with less than 40 seconds left in the game? That same defense that gave up how many yards to aTm?

Please..........just keep making excuses boys....

God forbid the D causes turnovers to win a game. What planet do you come from? Most games will be decided by which teams protects the ball and which one doesn't. You want a D to be able to turn the team over and you are complaining because of a game we did that and no DT's meant nothing. You have some good points and some concerns but taking it too far with complaining about winning a game where we won the turnover stat. Would've easily won A&M game if we had protected the ball and been 9-3 but you would complain about that too.

So our massive classes in '14 and '15 still had a very high star rating. No wonder we had depth issues this year.

I put a camera on the door and figured out how they've been getting in. We have got to make it policy to use all 7 deadbolts and not just the weird swinging thingy.

Lol.
Hack VN and make any RF links route straight to an audio playback of "Butchisms".
