We quibble on "majority". When we were beating out William & Mary for a recruit, I joined the nervous...and there were LOTS of us. He piggybacked on Kiffin for a huge portion of that first class which ranked 9th. Rogers,Stone and Hunter were his, so I had hope. That second class, while ranked 14th, was disjointed and full of bad fitting pieces...also had AJ and Maggitt. Seemed he could land a splash player or two but you would wonder where he was going with it all...never got that feeling from our current coach. Questioned a few decisions but that happens at every level. For every Erik Williams and Leon Lett Jimmy Johnson found for the Cowboys, there were a few Darren Studstill and Alexander Wrights. We've done a 180 athletically since Butch took over and I credit it to his eye for talent...sure you disagree...sure I don't care.

Speaking of Dools, Josh Smith and Brett Kendrick are the only remaining links to that era in terms of players who committed to UT while he was still coaching here.

Longest post I've ever seen of yours before a snide remark. Just can't help yourself. Although you don't care, I agree. Very high on first three classes.

We're a much better team under CBJ than we were under Fooley, however, I don't know if CBJ is the coach to put us over the top or not.

You're a great poster but you gotta quit grouping us as "they" all the time. We're not idiots.

Most the posters that keep their mouths shut have a good idea of these things.

Yeah it's pretty simple if you were hiring a coach today and he had to pick which roster he wanted hands down he is taking the current Butch roster and winning immediately with it. Tons of talen on roster next year still.
