Immigration Ban

Were y'all this outraged when Obama didn't let the guy who helped us get Osama into the country and let him rot in prison or when his administration wasn't letting in Afgans and Iraqis who helped our military get visas? If you were I missed it.

Nope. They didn't give a single F.

I can only get to half the article as I'm not a wsj member, but the first part states the ban affects (may have an influence on) members of the Google staff. You previously stated, " Google says 187 of its employees who are documented and have green cards are not being allowed back into the country."

I have searched through multiple articles concerning Google's statements and have yet to find one that supports your statement that the ban is having a direct effect (consequence) on staff members. One would think that if Google staffers were being kept out of the US, someone would be shouting it from rooftops and the info to support your claim would be readily available.

While this ban may ultimately result in staff from many companies being temporarily restricted from entering the US, I'm throwing down the BS card on your inaccurate and provocatively inflammatory statement because no one is reporting that it has already happened to Google.

This affects H1-B visa's too, which I don't have a problem with at all. These IT guys underbid and usually get the contracts. My wife can now bid $250 hr and win the bid.

Thanks Trump !!

Is it the new norm now to protest anything?

I've never seen so much hate and hypocrisy in my life. It's funny watching the meltdowns everyday.

Ive said since the election I don't care if Trump doesnt do anything, the SJW libtard meltdowns are on a historic level and that was good enough. Now we actually get Trump doing the sh!t he said he would. Man its like Christmas! A nice, long, very nordic Christmas.

The next time an Islamist terrorist blows something up in this country Trump will be blamed for it, even though Obama let them in.

If you love big government, i can understand your enthusiasm.

I got into an argument with Charles Cooke about this on twitter last night. It's ok when Trump uses big government and powers that the constitution nor congress has given him but when Obama did it all hell broke loose.

The hardest part about this situation is that Americans are supporting this politician and these actions, but they're fundamentally un-American. Our national identity is a melting-pot and welcoming open-arms to the immigrants of the world. Our history prides itself with Ellis Island and the mix of languages, cultures, and backgrounds coming together to build a new world. Now, we want to construct a physical barrier and a legal barrier to keep people out -- the same people who contribute to our human capital with some of the best doctors, scientists, engineers, academics, leaders and often some of the greatest real patriots.

We'll just become an ugly, stupid, in-bred bunch of white trash who bitterly complain about manufacturing jobs being stolen by robots, while wealthy CEOs piss on the nation and laugh.

Great post!

Watching Trump's self induced implosion is going to be epic. If these decisions are thought out and calculated, it's terrifying; if they're not, it's sadly hysterical.

it's not our president's job to fulfill the dreams & wishes of citizens of other counties

What if this hypothetical terrorist is from Egypt like Mohamed Atta (who flew Flight 11 into the WTC on 9/11) and came to the United States legally from Germany just like Atta did on a 5 year B1/B2 visa? ... and came here after Trump's inauguration?

Also, the execution of this order wasn't well planned for those already in transit and quite frankly, has made the US and our President, a world wide laughing stock.

The Federal Court is blocking Trump's Executive Order.

From Federal Judge Donnelly: There's no question about them being dangerous. There's no particular risk of this class of people. One of them even worked for the US govt.

Judge Donnelly going to apply traditional 4 factor test for a temporary restraining order

Judge: "If these people had arrived 2 days ago, we wouldn't be having this conversation...our own govt approved their entry to this country."

4 factors have been met: Irreparable harm established, likelihood of success on merits, no harm to govt. Likelihood of class cert.

Judge: "Class is pretty well defined as outline in the papers - otherwise would be reviewing stays for a hundred people" so stay is national
