Egypt is a secular country that actually cracks down on terrorists when Obama isn't propping them up.

UUUhh yes and no..historically a military dicatorship--Nasser, Mubarak, --who all cracked down hard on the fundamentalists---which effectively made them a more sympathetic political party to the general populace

--Following the Egyptian Revolution of 2011 that overthrew Hosni Mubarak, the Brotherhood was legalized[5] and emerged as "the most powerful group"[30] and the "most cohesive political movement" in Egypt with "an unparalleled ability to mobilize its followers". —won almost half the seats in the 2011–12 parliamentary election[31] (far more than any other party), and its presidential candidate Mohammed Morsi won the 2012 presidential election.

and now the military is once again in power...It's COMPLICATED!...but a "secular" country is a bit of a stretch

We're not running a charity here. The first obligation is to American citizens. It's a temporary ban to get our vetting processes in order. How horrible the President wants to err on the side of American citizens vs immigrants. The horror!

The hardest part about this situation is that Americans are supporting this politician and these actions, but they're fundamentally un-American. Our national identity is a melting-pot and welcoming open-arms to the immigrants of the world. Our history prides itself with Ellis Island and the mix of languages, cultures, and backgrounds coming together to build a new world. Now, we want to construct a physical barrier and a legal barrier to keep people out -- the same people who contribute to our human capital with some of the best doctors, scientists, engineers, academics, leaders and often some of the greatest real patriots.

We'll just become an ugly, stupid, in-bred bunch of white trash who bitterly complain about manufacturing jobs being stolen by robots, while wealthy CEOs piss on the nation and laugh.

:) We'll make a big ass sign & hang it where those refugees & immigrants that come to the USA can find your house so you can take them all in to feed & clothe them since you care so much for the humanity. Hope you have a good high paying job for your charity & hospitality.

Sit down and take a few deep breaths. The people who feed you are still here. The people who subsidize your life are still here.

The people who really care about this country are still here. We're not going anywhere.

We sure looked classy today while detaining Hameed Khalid Darweesh at JFK Airport. He only worked as an interpreter for the US Army for 11 years in Iraq before spending another 2 1/2 years working as a contract engineer for the US... He had also already been through a decade long vetting process. Yeah, we really have our s*** together don't we!

There will be some isolated issues that will get cleared up. It's certainly not convenient or perfect

These guys have already been vetted and Trump is still screwing them over. There could be as many as 7,000 who might not get in now.

Darweesh was one of the first in Iraq to volunteer for service to the US military following the US invasion in 2003. We held him in handcuffs when he arrived here. That's just great.

Trump and the administration has hit the ground running wide ass open. He's done more good in one week that Obama did in 8 years. I know you libs hate it, but it won't be long before you come out of your safe space and enjoy the ride.

Were y'all this outraged when Obama didn't let the guy who helped us get Osama into the country and let him rot in prison or when his administration wasn't letting in Afgans and Iraqis who helped our military get visas? If you were I missed it.
