He did struggle too. I read one guy commenting about the lack of velocity on his passes compared to other QBs (specifically Webb from Cal). He also threw a pick. Not saying he won't continue to get better but let's not pretend like he went out and dominated.

Who are going to believe? A dude on the internet or Hue Jackson (the head coach of the Cleveland Browns)?

Hue Jackson was loving himself some Josh Dobbs after day 1 of practices: https://www.seccountry.com/tennessee/josh-dobbs-practice-one-senior-bowl

That there is big time praise for Josh.

Said it before and I'll say it again, Dobbs is the most under appreciated player to play at TN

Exactly. He was a superstar that put this program on his back for 2 years as we rose back to relevance. He may not have gotten us to the SEC championship game but we did return to relevance as one of the premier programs in the SEC.

It's strange that his team's head coach said he was most impressed by Dobbs' throwing ability out of all the QBs. That coach is also one of the most respected QB coaches in the business. . .

Had not seen this. That is definitely big time praise. Problem is the Browns are an analytics based organization so they will probably end up drafting Mahomes from TT

Just imagine what Dobbs could have done at UT if he had a QB coach the last 2 years?

One practice under a real QB coach and he's throwing darts all over the field.

Fans love Dobbs. Fans also realize he isn't a good thrower of the football. Don't get it twisted.

Don't act like Dobbs isn't loved by this fanbase guys. Come on now.

So. . . you believe that Dobbs is less than good at throwing the football?

No. He believes Dobbs throws the deep ball well which he does.

He can't make the intermediate throws consistently enough. He's also loose with the football. And he's not a great decision maker on the field in my opinion.

I believe he is a good thrower, not great. He's certainly good. To believe he is less than good, or not good, at throwing the ball would be underrating him, IMO.

If Dobbs had played under Fulmer on that 2002 team we would've won the Natty. Especially getting coached up at QB. Dobbs is so damn underrated by our fan base it's pitiful.

x1000. His ability to escape pressure in the pocket & break tackles are elite.

Gonna be super tough to replace his production.
