Serious question: where did the speculation of Canales as OC/Co-OC originate?

I thought he was always interviewing for the QB coach position.

I think it originated by Hubbs saying jones was waiting to name scott OC just in case he needed to use the Co-OC tag

Have you read up on the guy? He was a college QB at Utah State. He has been coaching QB's since 1987.

Could also need the Co-OC tag to either keep Z around or if Z is pissed enough about getting passed over, he might need to use it to get the highest profile WR coach available to replace him.

Flip-flop the 2007-2016 part of that resume with the 1996-2006 part, and I'd be whole lot more excited about it.

That I don't know. Only thing I can remember is that CBJ said he was impressed with him when we played North Texas. Not sure if they knew each other prior to that or not.
