I just read that article in the Home page about top key prospects that we are hoping to finish with. One was Romello Martin a DT that I haven't heard of. Anything to this guy?

-Callahan on if the coaches will look back at this class, particularly in state, and ask what happened?

Stinks that kids here don't show loyalty like they do in other states. Maybe that will change if we ever start winning again at a high level

I think Tennessee is off to a good start with Emerson, Litaker, Johnson, Oden, Iyama and Lawless, and the Vols are at least strong contenders for Harris. He's still interested in Clemson and LSU, though, and we'll see which other teams enter the picture with him in the coming months. I haven't gotten the impression that Wray is likely to look around unless something major happens at Georgia. His idea was always to commit early, shut things down and try to recruit some guys to join him wherever he went, but I'm sure some schools will circle back and make another run at him.
-Callahan on 2018 in-state guys

Kirby is selling hope like Butch did with his first full class in 2014. Kirby is also a pretty awful
HC. He seems kind of similiar to Butch. They been wasting talent forever at UGA. That wont change.

Hyams had an interview with one of the committee members (forget his name, weird name) and says no decision will be made until new Chancellor comes on board. She starts Feb 15. So nothing til then

Talent level is going to drop, but coaching/player development will probably get better. And we'll keep going 9-4.

A drop in talent level could help us perform better. I think last year guys were feeling themselves a little too much. Less talent = more humble players. And that will lead to more wins.

I still believe we have enough talent to win the East. I'm calling it right now. We'll be 10-2 and SEC East champs in 2017.

Over the last 10 years, what "good" nfl skill position guys has USCw produced?

Reggie Bush (borderline)
Troy Polamalu
Carson Palmer
Clay Matthews

What happened with Harris? Callahan put his CB in for him the day Taylor was talking about us getting 2 commitments

I said Harris to Clemson weeks ago but got blasted. Kid has been leaning that way for at least 3-4 months now. He is extremely tight with two WRs in Knoxville who shall remain nameless.

Agree. Winning at a high level is a draw. I think, (no data to back it up), that the optics of weak player development from a S&C, skill and effective utilization perspective may have hurt.

Worst leadership out of all the Power 5 conference teams

It's crappy for sure but make no mistake about it our over-saturated, juvenile, rumor-mongering sports media shares a large portion of blame when it comes to why we percieve it so poorly.

Just today KNS re-reports the search firm thing, acts like there's no reason when it's on retainer and it's been explained prior by Hubbs, I believe, but it could've been one of the others, and then proceeds to throw in some scandalous coaches that Parker helped find at other schools, completely unrelated to UT. They made it sound like not only was there no explanation for Parker but also that we'd hired Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Kahmeini to do the search.

It was yellow-journalism at its finest. We don't need rival schools or outside enemies. We have our own press doing hit jobs and making it look even worse than it is.

It's petty for sure but that article was even pettier and it's hardly the only Knox Sports Media Outlet turd diving for clicks.
