No he doesn't have the experience at developing QBs.
So he's getting credit for Francois too
He coached Francois for a half a season at IMG.
Frenchie was that good at Olympia for 3 years

And Jimbo is the one coaching him up now.

His QB rating his first 3 years of High School:

Freshman - None
Sophmore - 85.2
Junior - 83.7

His QB rating his senior year at IMG with Weinke coaching him:

Senior - 111.4

Obviously its going to get better just by being around better athletes and better coaching. Also he is getting older and has had 3 years of working on it. But almost 30 points higher? It's obvious he had some dang good coaching. Also, listen to Weinke talk about Francois and what they worked on together, etc.

One of the things we have focused on was really the rhythm in his feet. He is a great athlete and has great feet, but that didn’t necessarily translate into the rhythm of the passing game,” Weinke said.

“More consistency. Throwing the ball with anticipation but have some consistency with it. Those are things we work on in a daily basis,” Weinke added. I thought he made great progress throughout spring. In the last week or so out on the field throwing, he looks like he is locked and loaded.”

Dude can coach. He probably won't end up here and that's fine but he is a good QB coach.

He's got arguably the best QB coach in football at FSU in Jimbo. Hard to argue against that. Weinke could be a RB coach and I'd be good.

The rumor was on the ticker of the finebaum show, so I guess it had legs.
