The new AD could potentially be hiring 4 new coaches in the next 2-3 years.
Baseball (pretty obvious CDS is done)
Women's Basketball (doubt she makes it 2 more years)
Football (Doubt Butch is here after the 2018 season)
Men's Basketball (I look for Barnes to retire in 2 years)
Because our cross country teams and volleyball and soccer did not make the NCAA tournaments, football was the only sport that scored.
The numbers are what they are, but I'm not going to judge the health of the athletic department based on cross country and women's soccer. Get back to be at the end of the school year.
The OP is highlighting something that has become very concerning to many lettermen. The All-Sports trophy was something we were in the hunt for, frequently competing with Florida for the top spot, under the leadership of Doug Dickey throughout the 90's. It's a good barometer of the health of the athletic department. Dismissing it out of hand is extremely short sighted.
I know since it's not exclusive to football many on here won't care, but this stuff matters.

Yeah Dickey really tried to make basketball great. What a leader
Your thinly veiled sarcasm aside, the Dickey Athletic Department was consistently top 5 in the all-sports trophy. Cherry pick and disparage all you like, he had the AD running like a well oiled machine during his tenure.
They were right about you. I see it now.
Two sports truly matter. As PJ pointed out, Dickey failed miserably at one of them.Your thinly veiled sarcasm aside, the Dickey Athletic Department was consistently top 5 in the all-sports trophy. He cared about one sport. B-ball is the second biggest yet he tried to kill it with his handling. Brag about his excellence in CC all you want but it's simply not that important. He also didn't have to be judged by women's sports although they were doing pretty well at that time
You are just a breath of fresh air there aren't youThe new AD could potentially be hiring 4 new coaches in the next 2-3 years.

Come now Boro-vol. It's much simpler to insinuate that the OP is dumb via thinly veiled insults, laugh about it, and call them a nega whatever. We wouldn't want to discuss the fact that our athletics programs as a whole are, indeed, slipping or that it matters now would we?
HW staying for over 3? She should step aside after the season is over.
It amuses me that some think of me as a troll and so many "fans" on here look to dump on Tennessee at every turn.
Some of these threads are trashing the 2017 football season and it is 8 months away.
This was posted in another forum. I don't understand why people never look at information and think about it before accepting it. Explains why the media is so powerful I guess.
But, you know damn well Tennessee is not the 113th best athletic program in the US and not dead last in the SEC either.
I know damn well Arkansas isn't the best athletic program in the SEC.
My guess is the methodology is kind of flawed
