Good grief! That level of criticism for celebrating a Hail Mary? Talk about overreacting. Give me a break. However, this is the same guy who said the Saban dynasty was over and Malzahn was going to take over at Auburn. Butch therefore, will beat Nick Saban next year and win many national championships at TN

Meh. He's comparing Jones to guys that have been there and done that. All the guys he's referenced have won championships or have been doing it longer. This is Jones' first major stop, and I don't mind him showing passion. I don't think he would call Pete Carroll a gym teacher. Moreover, ragging on him for beating UGA was taken out of context. UF was beaten the previous week, and he had just beat UGA (with a freaking Hail Mary nonetheless), which are typically the two you have to beat in order to win the SEC East. He was sitting pretty at that point.

Asinine comment about the celebration after UGA, it was definitely warranted. Many other things to criticize, but that is not one. Quite a reach for Cowherd.

That's the thing though. Criticism is going to come in mighty crashing waves from the media when you lose to Vandy.

Can Butch weather it and turn the conversation around? If so, then maybe he's our guy. But he won't get many more losses like that and stay employed here.

Gym teacher label that he's gotten while underachieving in his 4 years here? 2016 is the only year we've been disappointed, if anything he was overachieving his first 3 years. These idiotic comments always make me think about the talk Denzel Washington gave to a reporter when he was about to go into some event.

I think my biggest non-W/L related disappointment from this season was not getting to see E. Berry really do his thing in the return game.

I'm so ready for spring practice. Hope signing day has a surprise or two and spring ball and the QB competition is fun to follow. Things have been down and out for a while
