Please keep the debate to the other thread-

The talk of Dobbs in the NFL got me to thinking how hard it is for ANY QB to make it in the big league.

In a U as storied as Tennessee, QB success in the NFL is rare (as with most schools).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can think of 5 Vols QBs that have ever started a regular season NFL game.

-Starting with the easy one Manning

-Heath Shuler had a few unsuccessful seasons

-Tony Robinson.. Didn't he start a strike game?

-Bobby Scott

-Lastly, a shinny nickel to who can name the other. Unless I'm mistaken, he had the second longest NFL career at QB behind Manning. 13 seasons I believe

Please chime in if I've missed anyone. I know some sites list Feathers as a "QB" but I'm really looking the modern QB position as we know it.

Robinson suited up for the Redskins as a replacement player. And he threw well that day. If only....

KC still has Bray on the roster? Not bad for an undrafted guy.

If Dobbs can learn to not throw 10 feet over his WR's he should do ok for a few years.

I thought Tee Martin started a game or two during his stint with the Raiders...

Interesting discussion, OP.

UT has had some good QB's but that rarely reflects on NFL success. Just 2 different things.
