Legit criticism yes. But the relentless crying and over the top stuff is totally different.

This you can love a university and support the team without liking the coach. A lot of people hated Kiffin while he was here but they still attended games. Same with Fulmer, Dooley and now Jones. In 99 Jerry Green made a hell of a run in basketball but that didn't make him any less of an a$$hole, did it?

It happened. I hate it happened. Nothing we can do to get it back. We back the team (that includes coaches) and we see what adjustments Butch makes. If he makes no changes and we stink it up next year, then I'll see if I can talk Uncle Gruden into coming here to save the day.

I see lots of people talking about "accepting mediocrity." Who out there is ACTUALLY sitting there, saying "Oh yeah, this is good stuff?" I haven't seen one person on VN with that attitude. Posts like this make up some sort of false narrative that there's a segment of the fanbase, team, or coaching staff that doesn't care about winning. That's absolutely foolish.

I triple-dog-dare you to go up to one of the coaches or players and accuse them of "losing site" of the goal of winning the football game.

Posts like this make me think you fall into one of two categories: 1) Unrealistic preseason expectations, or 2) Ignorant as to how a football program is run.

You know as well as I do that plenty of posters on here had playoff expectations. Some were reserving hotel rooms in Tampa. There was even a thread about planning the championship parade through Knoxville.
