It's out of character to ask the question I agree but it isn't for him to lash out of the vocal idiots trashing the team. I don't think he was baiting RG into a answer as I think he was calling out idiot fans which we do have many refusing to spend money tomorrow. Just my 2cents as I am a member there and like him a lot.
Hmmm, not what I was trying to get across, but I will edit it.
I too am a Christian. My "Christian Warrior" mock was directed at the fact that he is likening the punishment he is potentially going to get for cheating to Christ's crucifixion, an analogy that I, as a Christian, find appalling.
As a Christian, I don't appreciate you mocking someones faith by sarcastically calling him a "Christian Warrior".
it's not funny.
I asked Parker where he was getting his information and stated that the question was just intended to inflame and get clicks and should not have been asked. He blocked me, LOL.
First of all I don't see Jones announcing any changes right after the game. I do think there will be some changes.
Defensively, I still think it's possible that Steve Stripling moves into some kind of off the field role. We have all heard the Brady Hoke rumors and the Terry Fair rumors. Fair and Jones have remained in contact since he left. Now, I think if anything happens on defense, Bob Shoop will have a major say in the make up of the staff moving forward. I don't think Jones would hire anyone on that side that Shoop is remotely unsure or uncomfortable with. So the question is who does Shoop have ties with that he likes. Shoop has alot of contacts in the coaching world. The other question is with all the hot seat talk how interested are coaches in coming here.
Without an AD to stop any of that talk, would it be hard to hire anyone right away. Something Jones must consider.
As for offense, I think it starts first with what is Mike DeBord going to do. Is he back? Does he retire? I don't know where he is in terms of coaching desire. He talks like a guy who's got energy and wants to keep coaching. But everything offensively starts there. Because if there is a change at coordinator, the new coordinator would want to bring some of his own people in. But again what's the candidate pool look like? I do think Jones hires a qb coach, although it's hard to find one who's not a play caller or who doesn't want to be the play caller. On the offensive line, the players love Don Mahoney and Jones has been very loyal to him. So would he make a change there? I think Jones likes Walt Wells. The players seem to like him as well. I don't see an in house OC candidate (if there's an opening) unless it's a guy like Larry Scott.
I think the first thing offense that has to be determined is what does DeBord want to do moving forward.
There are some various moving parts which is why it's not a simple plug and play deal. Things can move in alot of different directions in the coming weeks.

I disagree. The guys I have planning to tailgate with me tomorrow and refusing to spend money on tickets and go to the game are season ticket holders and make plenty of money to buy tickets. They are just being stubborn but 100% would have gone and sent plenty of money in New Orleans.
I don't think he has lost the major power brokers support. I think some of them have concerns and are ready to see his plan to fix/improve things. As I wrote leading up to the Vanderbilt game, a loss to them changes things for Jones and it has. I think the fans confidence level on him is not as high and it's going to be loud and there is going to be talk the entire off season. I think the power brokers want to see some things improved from staff to development to how he handles himself with the media.
These are reasonable questions and threads we should have on there.
We need to get away from the extremes. It is more in the middle with Butch Jones. Jones has done good things for Tennessee football. He's done some really good things and that should be noted. He's come up short in some areas and in some games that have really tempered some of those good things.
He's not helped himself with some of the things he has said. And that's why right now is an important time. It's why people that count are watching closely and want to know what his plan is to improve his program after his evaluation of it.
It's not just staff changes either. It's player development. It's things like did you have enough contact in fall camp. It's things like should you allow seven on seven stuff in the summer time. What should your team look like physically? Were you too lean? Etc.
It's not just who is going to be on the staff. It's much more then that. Now that doesn't mean all is lost and everything is a dumpster fire. It's just what's the plan to evolve and grow moving forward.
