'18 TN DL Greg Emerson (UT commit 7/3/17)

Emerson has been moved up to 11th in the nation on Rivals

I believe he was already 11th on rivals. Actually, looks like he dropped to 20th.

I've said this before, but I will say it again. 2018 class from Tennessee is just as good or better than 2017 class. And we have a lot more pro UT kids in 2018 class too. (Mays, Taylor, I think Emerson, and several others before its all said and done)

2018 safety out of Baylor seems very pro-UT too.

Really good kid that had to deal with some tragedy at a young age. Ole Miss and Bama will be our stiffest competition but most likely the kid is a Vol if nothing crazy happens.

What about Ohio st? That's who I worry about with his HC being a former buckeye standout

Holy crap the TN '18 class is stacked

'19 will be even better. 247 has some super early rankings of 2019 kids and there were more TN kids in the top 100 than there currently are in the top 100 for the 2017 and 2018 classes.

The next few years are gonna show that the talent in Tennessee is really taking off.

Wouldn't surprise me to see us putting out as many D1 prospects as Ohio and Louisiana in 10 years or so.

That's actually a good question. I remember those conversations.

We've made him better than he gave us to work with. Horrible sentence structure , but the only way to say it. :wink2:

He's in-state & that good so we can't allow him to get away & go elsewhere to play. It just can't happen with such a talent.

What should the coaches do that they didn't do for some of the players who have gone to other schools? I'm not sure we "let" any of them get away.

I honestly think the guys we missed on this year wasn't about the coaches, or how much they tried. I believe the guys that chose to go elsewhere truly just didn't want to go to Tennessee. With Amari his dad doesn't like Butch, so there's that. Then you got Tee who wants to play in an offense where he can be a 1000 yd receiver. Phillips we didn't really recruit, nor did we recruit Richardson. You look early on at the 2018 class. You got 4* Alontae Taylor solid to UT, Cade mays 5* solid to UT, you got the Bryson kid from around Nashville who will end up being a 4*(hes the one that got hurt in playoffs) I feel like this class is very pro-Tennessee, and I look at Emerson I think he is a Tennessee lean. Being at the school trey smith is at helps, and I think Emerson who could be another 5* ends up at UT. Then Litaker a 4* DT I think chooses Tennessee. I think 4* RB Master Teague is a big Tennessee lean as well, also helps Gillespie got in on him really early, but I think he ends up at UT. I mean I can go on and on, because the 2018 class is so good and they all seem way more pro UT than the 2017 class. I'm looking forward to recovering in the 2018 class.
