Well, we have had several who have identified themselves as players family who have posted here. And God only knows how many commits/players ect come on here and read comments from time to time, but never post. That rag in Nashville has quoted posts on here.

So, in relation to Tennessee sports, and since this is not a pay site, this might be as social media as it gets.

This is simply a result of being the most beaten down fan base over the last decade. We're the middle children of Tennessee football history. We've been raised to believe that we should have 10 win seasons each year and make an annual trip to the SECCG. But we don't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very pissed off.

Well if it only hurts with some then I guess it's perfectly ok.
And maybe you've missed article after article and interview after interview of current players talking about the negative effect, but I know, I know, that's their problem not yours.

And again, I dont the direct contact helps such as twitter, facebook etc. I have none of those account. Had direct contact with one tennessee recruit and that was in 2002 in person at his high school where I was a Marine recruiter and he attended tennessee and went to the NFL.
Dont think many recruits are basing their decision to attend a school on anonymous posters on a fan forum. If they are they are idiots and should also check out the fan forums of the school they do chose, because their fans are equally as bad.

And I agree with you about Alabama fans, they are the absolute worst. Yet their recruiting is okay I guess.

What reaffirms your suspicion? The fact that 9 of 90 recruits think ut fanbase is the worst? Or the fact that Alabama and Michigan was voted right up there with us and still do well? Or the fact that 74 of the 90 said social media doesnt affect their decision?

From his twitter - seems a lot of schools got thrown under the bus including LSU, Bama and FSU to name a few.

Also 70% said they had never been lied to, 30% said yes.

I have to be honest, the majority of people that can't stand Tennessee have told me it has nothing to do with the team. It's because of the Tennessee fans.

Is that unique to Tennessee or about every other school as well?

Let's act like we havent had Oregon, Okkahoma, App St. Utah St etc fans come here and talk about how great.the experience including fans was.

I think some of you are really selling these recruits short. You act like they are incapable of distinguishing between a radical nut job and an average fan. Give these kids some credit. They aren't as stupid as many of you seem to think.

Please point to anything I have ever said that was racist? Please do. I used my grandfather as an example with another older person that acts the same way he did. When faced with a varying opinion he knew nothing but rant and rave, similiar to what the person I was talking to did.

Leadership 101, if are concerned about everyone liking you you are bound to fail.

But in the effort if fairness, I invite you to start a website, where no negative post are allowed in hopes that everyone might like us. Start with that young Alabama on youtube that hates Tennessee.
