There is more pissing and moaning about the perceived pissing and moaning than actual pissing and moaning.

It's the RF Safe Spacer way.

Post: Darn, Corker committed to UK. That stinks.

RF Safe Spacers: So much negativity. Who let in the FF? Recruiting isn't for everybody. HOW CAN YOU PEOPLE GET SO WORKED UP OVER UT FOOTBALL?!??!!!!!!11111111

With Corker off the board, do we take another CB? With 3 committed, I was thinking that maybe we take OL Moore with that slot. Thoughts?

If Butch wanted size, I wonder why he didn't go all in for The CB named Speed from FL that is 6'4" instead of 6' Corker.

Not that size matters...

Man, and we lost by double digits to Vandy... Hey BigNewt, wanna correct me or "learn" me about that one too? As you said this is a football talk thread where folks give their opinions and my opinion is that Butch whiffed on Corker even though folks are making themselves feel better saying KY offered his cousin and that is why they beat us out...

Did the cousin commit already? If he is a marginal FBS player he'll probably jump on that offer. Whether that happens may tell the tale of Corkers recruitment.

Fortenberry is leaving VQ...

After an incredible eight years with Brent Hubbs and Volquest, my time on an amazing adventure with an incredible group of men is coming to an end. As Brent said, Friday will be my last day with Volquest as I cover my last Tennessee football game in Nashville.

I’ll be taking a position outside of the industry in a decision that has been one of the hardest choices of my life. Brent has been nothing short of a saint towards me and my family over the years.

As a 5th-year senior in the fall of 2009, Brent took a chance on a scrawny, awkward kid that wanted to cover recruiting. He, along with Rob, John and Austin, pushed me to be the best reporter I could be. Off the field, they helped me be a better man.

I couldn’t have asked for a better boss, and more importantly friend, than Brent. Like Brent, Rob has been an incredible mentor and friend over the past eight years. Both have taught me so many things that it’s impossible to list everything they’ve done for me.

Austin has been a blast to have around more the last few years and he has done nothing but crushed it this fall.

The conversations telling these three were some of the toughest I’ve ever had.

Probably the single most asked question has been, ‘Why?’ I understand. I have had an amazing job with a great group. But, as many here know, my wife and I adopted our son and daughter 20 months ago and life looks much different now.

I’ve missed a lot with them already and I want to make sure I am able to be in their lives as much as possible.

I’ll miss talking football on a daily basis, but I’ll miss the relationships I’ve built with Brent, Rob and Austin more than anything. They’ve become closer than just friends.

Thanks to everyone on the GQ for being great to deal with. You let me be a part of the team your trusted for your information on Tennessee for longer than I deserved.

From Hubbs...

As for Volquest, we will continue to grow. We will be adding personnel in the coming weeks and will continue to bring you the very best coverage in all things Tennessee athletics.

I think the "safe space" analogy is the crutch for b******* and whiners to b**** and whine twice as much. The more upset the b******* and whiners get, the more all-caps they go. :)

You do you and spew we can have different opinions but ask yourself why would someone go to ky over ut if all things are equal...

It is.
They will never understand that it's the endless droning and useless repetition, not the differing opinion.

Amazing they never see a collection of their own posts and just gasp "My God, I really do whine A lot".

Dang that sucks. In other words, he needs more money and can do it elsewhere by working less. The struggles of journalism.

I'd say Fort does fine money wise. Probably wants more time.

This stinks though. Fort and Hubbs are the most trusted sources for recruiting news. Also the two most likeable sources. Fort leaving hurts.

I remember the night he showed up on VQ unintroduced and just starts answering questions. People were like "uh who are you dude?" Within a month or two he was the number two on VQ for recruiting nuggets.

Yikes.

As for as leg work, it seemed as tho Fort did a lot more than his associates.

I hope they land someone who is as meticulous .
