'17 MS RB Cam Akers (FSU commit 12/27)

Do you honestly think there aren't Barners everywhere continually watching and digging around trying to find something to report to the NCAA? Lots of tin-foil hat wearers up in here. Funny and sad at the same time. Crying "cheater" is so pathetically childish.

No one is crying. It's just the truth. Don't be naive.

Gray and Smith have to know something we don't or else they wouldn't be all this confident about Akers coming here.

Maybe Akers will surprise folks tomorrow. LSU just got a "de-commit" this morning from their only RB in the class (Edwards-Helaire).

Wouldn't be the first time a recruit lied to current players. He's told multiple teams he's going there, sure hope he's actually going to pick the good guys tomorrow.

True. But, I seriously doubt Saban would risk NCAA sanctions just to get a given stud player who's a pay-for-play guy. See Robert Nkemdiche. Saban can get another stud instead. No need to take the risk. Just not worth it.

Saban unfortunately doesn't have to worry about a hammer. He is the closest to SEC head quarters, his program makes MILLIONS for the SEC, and the NCAA President is a good buddy of his (former LSU AD when Saban was there. He is probably cheating rampantly but with great discretion, and he knows how to bend rules to get more scholly numbers. Hence the player medical write off rule.

Don't feel like testing through pages of bs, any news on were he may be leaning or same thing it's been?

Kudos to them. They figured out the NCAA would never do anything to them, so they are operating with a huge safety net. Just be a man and admit it. Im sure we all wish it was UT in that place.

They were given a crippling probation for the Albert Means scandal though, so I can't believe they are simply untouchable. I think Mike Slive was heavily in their corner. We'll see if that continues with the new commish.

Same thing. VQ mods seem to think UT or FSU, cautiously optimistic. Seems Akers or his camp have given multiple teams reason to be excited. We'll find out tomorrow night.

I'd like to think so, but that was a different era in NCAA enforcement. If anything substantial happens to UNC or Louisville in basketball, maybe that will signal a different line of thinking with respect to cash cow programs.

They have nothing on UNC if ppl actually look at that case its obvious the NCAA is just posturing because unc knows they have no new charges from the noa

if UNC and Ole Miss do not get severe sanctions from their clear and proven transgressions then frankly I feel that they have NO CREDIBILITY!

Christ we got ding for tacos.......F'in tacos!

Fwiw New update from Ole Miss scout site says no school has been told of decision. They predict Akers to Ole Miss but say FSU is possible. Retaining RB coach is said to be important for them.

I thought it was reported a week ago that it was between FSU and TN? How did Ole Piss get in the picture? Just because he goes to HS in Mississippi he will automatically go to Ole Piss? If that's the case I guess we are still in running for Jacoby Stevens and Tee Higgins.
