I am stuck here in yankeeland for a few more months and I feel like a stranger in a strange land. In the five years I have lived here, I have yet to understand one very critical thing about the yankee way of life. Why in the name of all that is good and holy do these yankees like to eat peanut butter sandwiches with their chili!?!? It makes no sense. Every time I bring chili in for everybody they bring PB and I bring stuff for grilled cheese. I can't make the grilled cheeses fast enough and the PB sits dormant, but they insist that PB goes with chili! It is incredible, the height of their delusion. UnionCityVol! Your wife's family is from Indiana. Are they as backwards and confused as these poor souls I am dealing with here? Six more months and I'll be back in TN where things make sense.

PB and chili. Who ever heard tell of such a thing? I'll bet TonyB eats PB with his chili. That seems like the sort of nonsense he would get himself involved with. :)
I grew up on the Ohio River bordering IN and KY, between Cincy and Louisville. My mom grew up in eastern KY and we always had PB and crackers or cornbread with our chilli. My wife is from TX and thinks cornbread is the only thing you would ever eat with chilli. I'll have to try grilled cheese, I love it with my soups.

Stuck in downtown Louisville today waiting on clients...Dang this place sucks. I usually like to go sightseeing a little while I'm waiting..but this place gives me the creeps.

4th generation East Tennessee, Southern born and raised. Zero influence from our friends up north. I have eaten PB sandwiches with chili since I can remember. Also, PB sandwiches with tomato soup is pretty dang good too.

Family been in East Tennessee since before there was an East Tennessee..... You weird people eating sandwiches with chili. If you need something with your chili you're not eating good chili

Had a couple conferences at the Galt House in Louisville. The 4th Street Live area is pretty cool -- if you like to eat, drink, and make merriment. And I do.

Well my great, great , great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, grandparents were cave dwelling Cherokee Indians in Appalachia. Peanut butter sandwiches and mastodon chili were a staple in their diet.

Ill stick with a bag of cheetos or fritos scoops with my chili. However I do like a chili burger, chili on my nachos, a chili omelet, chili dog,, chili on meatloaf...

PB on Bacon on a burger.

Think of the gains bro.

Don't they have a Jack Brown's or two near you now? I live near the original JB in Harrisonburg, VA. Their burgers are great and their craft beer selection is even better. The Elvis is one of their burgers, it has PB and Bacon. They use Wagyu beef. Highly recommend.
