You actually admit he lost the popular vote? That puts you at the top of the heap of Trump supporters. Most are still believing the fake news stories that he won the popular vote. Oh yea, it was the millions of illegal alien votes in California. I guess we can both agree that Trump got more of the really stupid peoples' votes in the battle ground states.

Fake news..lol.

I bet you drool over Occupy Democrats memes

Please stop with the whole mandate silliness. It's just media contrived nonsense. A candidate runs on a set of ideas, after being elected follow through on what you ran on. If the American people disagree with the direction you're taking the country, they'll let you know in two or four years.

Pretty sure it was Trump tweeting about the "mandate". I agree it is silliness,

Hey idiot, the popular vote doesn't matter. Fact is you don't get equal representation we a,city like LA is as big as many states. Winning the popular is not an accurate representation of America. You lost, get over it

Ummmmm....

It's a national election.this the only example in the entire system where the winner may not, in fact, win.

Irony number one is that Trump lost by almost 3 million votes, yet is president elect due to shallow demagoguery, partisan influence by an FBI Director, and the Russian interference.

Irony number two is that the Electoral college is designed to thwart such those very things, and will make him official tomorrow.

Irony number three is that Trump tricked the voters in rural small states into thinking he is a champion for them against the rich, and upon election he puts in power a dozen or so people worth more than 100,000,000 others.
In fairness to Trump, he seized a ripe situation and capitalized. Some he tricked because they are just that dumb, but I think many fully knew he was a wretched candidate and determined that anything was better than 4 more years of democrats (in particular HRC). Who knows...he's the man now, so I sure hope he does us proud. There are scum on both sides of the aisle and I hope he gets rid of them somehow. Then just maybe the hill will work for the betterment of the country again.

I didn't envy obama's job and don't envy trump either. Too many aholes rooting for their failure... country be damned. That I can't understand.

What are you talking about? Did I ever say the popular vote mattered? I have had 20 responses to this post and none of them have any thing to do with what the post was addressing.

This does give me insight into how you understand and respond to the issues.

Thanks for a level headed post. I'll try to learn from you; there are a few others that could also learn the lesson.

Irony #2 is the Electoral College was designed specifically in mind that one State would never be able to control the others. Hence where we are today.

False.

It was to save the people from themselves.

I still think they should follow the votes of their respective states, otherwise every election in the future is at risk of overstating how bad the president elect is.

But yeah, Trump's campaign and transition are giving people pause.

Well, it did save America from itself this time.

There are a few people laughing on their way to the bank that wish to say "thanks for your gullibility."

They have to be surprised that it worked.

P.T. Barnum "there's a sucker born every minute."

"Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public."
These two quotes sum up the election.

Didn't you support the democrats that brought Michael Browns mom up on stage at the DNC convention? How can you even begin to justify that? I'm actually an awesome ndependent bc I just like to side with the best candidate no matter which party. This year was extremely difficult bc I didn't like either candidate but my gut tells me trump will do more good than any president in years.

Hope your gut is spot on.
I pick the best candidate based on their stance on the issues most important to me. That just always leads me to the democrat.
If Bernie had run on some 3rd party ticket, I would have been all on board.

I don't know anything about Occupy Democrats memes.
I do know that there is fake news on both sides but that the vast majority of it was aimed at and consumed by the right.

I would never ever vote for someone running on a socialist platform

After 50+ years of being ashamed of America, she becomes proud and now she believes there is no hope for america. That hope was obviously like a snowflake, so fragile.

Very hard for her to accept everything barry done in 8 years is going to be wiped away in a month
