Dickens, I'm a little late to the party, but do what your heart tells you. It doesn't matter who else finds it right or who else finds it wrong. There is no point in floundering away in college if you aren't accomplishing anything. I really don't know how i pulled off my 3.6 in undergrad because I didn't really care the majority of the time. I think mostly I was just naturally good at my major, it all made sense to me so I just rolled with it. Then I discovered I didn't event want to do what I JUST KNEW i wanted to do. Figure yourself out, what you want to do with life and if you want to come back you will if you're ever determined enough. I worked for a year and a half and went back to get my masters. Most jobs these days without a degree have a limited ceiling and those limitations will very likely lead you back to school. Or, I have friends who dropped out and while they're not making 100k a year, are making good money and really enjoy their life.
Most importantly realize you're young. You have a whole lot of time before anything gets too serious as long as you are careful. Just live your life, not anyone elses.
