I agree. I am just saying the 3 stars we are recruiting, not so much. An example, the offer list to the recent DL commit out of Florida some said was strong. Auburn was the ONLY "strong" offer...

You talking about Shanon Reid? Clemson, FSU, Michigan had all offered him.

Put those teams in the SEC they probably go 8-4 or 9-3. The physical grind of playing the caliber of SEC players week in and week out requires exceptional depth.

It's not the same playing field.

Probably all I'm going to say. Not trying to start anything. I'm generally positive and believe the guys getting paid millions can get it done. Just pretty skeptical right now. Feels like the diamond in the rough talk of old.

Because this is what people are concerned with

If you look at A&M in your screenshot we can easily get where they're at. We gain three or four 4* and drop three or four 3* and we would be right there with them if not ahead and Trey committed.

"I really didn't want to start Josh Dobbs at first because he is black."

How was this not national news? This explains all of the inner turmoil with the team. Butch should have made him apologize publicly, and then right a personal letter to his parents apologizing! He then should have been fired, pay withheld, and blackballed from coaching the rest of his life. This egregious behavior must not stand at my beloved university!

I understand the concerns but NSD is still a month and a half away.

Not sure I can agree with your first paragraph though.

I do wish it wasn't so lopsided. I hate to say it but mostly the reason we sign top 10 classes is because butch finds a way to sign large amounts of kids. More of a quantity thing. Although he has recruited some studs. His 14 class was beast.

I do wonder how all the staff turnover will affect us. If Debord, Mahoney, Martinez, etc leave, will we see decommits of our own? Perhaps get a few guys not on our radar at the moment that are being recruited by our future coaches that will be coming in?

If any of those teams were in the east they probably would not have lost unless they played Bama like we do every year. West maybe one loss to Bama. To say they would lose 4-3 is complete garbage. The SEC as a whole was down except for bama

Using the star average argument, the 2015 class was actually his best according to Rivlas.

Both were by far his best classes. Signing a lot of guys helped move us up in the rankings. I think rivals only counts the top 20 commits though. The elite schools are still recruiting better than us

Both classes were very good. You probably need comparable classes to either of those three out of every four years to make it to the tier below Alabama.

"Volssam needs to quit posting, his material has dropped drastically to a 5.5 3* rating since Yukon Butch, on second thought I'm informing Butch to sign him. #3StarU"

No, Reid is a LB. The recent DL out of Florida. If I didn't say DL I apologize.

Edit: I did say DL. No Florida schools offered and Auburn was the only "strong" offer. Reid is a 4 star on some sites, so it makes sense he had those other offers. 😉 Lol
