all competing for kids in their own programs' backyards now. Gonna be a bit tougher for out of state programs to load up on kids from the Sunshine State.

I also respectfully disagree...But it really is ludicrous to me that anybody really believed that any AD would fire him after going 8-4 the last two years. Considering the wasteland we were in when he got here, and the total decimation of the defensive roster this season...that is really crazy talk.

Look I've been as pissed as anybody, but nobody would have done much more than one game better after all that...I just am really still pissed about Vandy myself. I despise them almost more than any other school. Losing to them is unacceptable. But IF Butch can reestablish disciplined, maintained effort football like we know he can from the previous three years...then the problems can be rectified.

So we just gonna keep on firing coaches when they don't make it to the SEC champ? That's the plan? Especially since we are the only east team that has to face the greatest juggernaut college football has ever seen. We do that, and nobody worth a damn is going to come here.

Gives me hope people won't be berated for having a somewhat positive outlook next year.

I also think with Butch being 5 years in or more from now on, as long as he is coach here, a minimum of 9 wins every year should be the expectation. And to at least be in the running for Atlanta.

And then a 10+ Season and a run at an SEC championship and the playoffs every handful of years.

This is my expectation...big caveat...you must beat UK and Vandy every freaking year.

na, as long as we are competitive for the division then heads dont have to roll, win some lose some in this league. just cant have it in your hands and lose to usce and vandy, or yea.

IMO this season was the first that we could reasonably expect Butch to win the East. The way the games played out last year was dissapponting, but all in all I think he at least met expectations then.

So in my mind this year started a 3-4 year clock that Butch has to win the East and at the bare minimum make it a competitive game in the championship. And if he ever finishes worse than an 8 win season barring some extreme circumstances than take off an extra year off the clock, so to speak.
