I'm saying it could have easily been delayed. UT fans got half a day before they were kicked by yet another impartial UT site/reporter
Never said Haney made it all up. He likely only picked the quotes that gave him the story he wanted from the start. You really think Hood was the only one willing to say a positive thing about Butch?
If VN had taught us anything it's that insiders like to embellish when given the chance
I dont see a way that UT goes that long without an AD.
I don't think he survives 8-4 again. If Hart was still under contract through that point and still a working AD I would feel the way you do on that tho.
In its current and most recent history I agree with your last statement. "I'll keep selling you a 25$ bologna samich, as long as you keep buying it."
I think the next AD is the first step away from the recent past.

So you want journalists to work with Butch on when the best time to release articles would be? LOL.
Where did I ever say that? This had nothing to do with Butch agreeing with anything
A site covering UT sports should have more class than to publish a hit piece the day after their biggest commit. Of course positives must be knocked back down by our lovely writers
There's a lot of truth in that article.
I'm not going to elaborate further, but Travis tried vry hard to find people with a more favorable review of the current goings on to balance the story and could not. He also asked for comment from Butch and Hart two weeks ago, asked again after giving UT some of the quotes for the story, was told he would receive quotes or an interview with both Butch and Hart, and then UT never delivered on that.
If you want to blame someone for it being one-sided, then it lies at the feet of Ryan Robinson in media relations for dropping the ball on getting a response.
i hope so, but even with a new AD, there's still the $$$ that has to buy in, literally, so the new AD will have a lot of work to do, regardless.
you can make the decision, but w/out the money to back it up, we just get another version of CBJ on the cheap.
basically, i'll believe the priorities have changed when i see it.
1. Unnamed sources is how journalism works in cases like this. A lot of the people interviewed likely either work with/in the program; if they reveal their name, they can lose their job. Anonymity > losing your job.
2. Haney is a phenomenal reporter. Whether you like what it says or not doesn't make it true or false. Facts are facts, one way or the other.
'The culture is a disaster:' Jones, Vols trending the wrong way
Here's another smear piece.. someone has an agenda
edit: realized it's the same article
All in all I think the article was written because of the media hype around the team on a national basis coming into this season. This season by all pre-season expectations was a bust.
Now its time to move on to a new year and not make the same mistakes. Some on here have to understand it has been 18 damn years since we have had anything near a good team. Heck Im in my late 50s and wonder if I will ever see a National Championship again.
Disaster = players flunking school and APR sinking.
Disaster = incidents like what happened at Vandy and Penn State
Disaster = players being punks on campus and not being active in the community
Disaster = recruiting violations that lead to NCAA penalties
The agenda is obvious - no mention of the positives.
