Not a big fan of DeBord, but remind me which game we didn't score enough points to win had the defense been clicking.
I think we can all agree to give DeBord a pass on Bama.
I'll buy the other two. But sometimes, I'd imagine, things just don't clicking out there. Beyond anyones control. So, 2/12 isn't all that bad. Definitely not something to be canning someone for.
Debord needs to go as well, our play calling is too predictable.
Shoops should've been able to bring his own assistants with him, I can't say that's 100% the fault behind our defensive issues but I believe had he brought his guys in we would've been a little better off.
Azzani I think needs to go, we have an insane amount of receiver talent but see very little production because of a lack of a passing qb out of that group as a whole.
If Botch Jones doesn't find another gig, he needs to clean house. Only problem is, what legitimate asst. going to come here knowing his ass is scorching red come next season.
And over 1/3 of those points came against two teams that are 11-13 and a 5-6 FCS school......
Which Teams? We scored 55 against Tenn Tech and 28 Against Ohio. That is less than 21% of our points You are smoking crack.
We scored:
App St. 20
VT 45
Ohio 28
Florida 38
Georgia 34
A&M 38
Alabama 10
SC 21
Tenn Tech 55
Kentucky 49
Missouri 63
Vandy 34
That is 66% of our Total offense against SEC competition. You should check your math before making outlandish claims.:thud:

I expect to see Don Mahoney and Willie Martinez fired. Our secondary and offensive line have been this team's biggest weakness for more than just this season. Let debord coach the o-line and hire a qb coach.
Pretty much..No one worth their salt will come here.. Hyams basically agreed with Mark Howard on Jones being on the hot seat for next year. No one is going to stick their neck out for that..No one worth a crap anyway...
Thing about the "hot seat" is you can get off it with a turn around year.
Look at Franklin at PSU going into the season and after losing to Pitt there were movers rounding the corner toward his house. Then he upsets OSU and suddenly he's great.
Look at Malzahn, he was one LSU score from getting fired instead of Les Miles. Then they go on a run and he's safe.
Believe me, I have my doubts about Jones but I'm not going to act like next year is his last as a done deal.
Even the Pitt loss doesn't look so bad since they beat Clemson....
Well Jones beat Va Tech who won the Coastal and gave Clemson all they could handle.
You can't really cherry pick "good" losses for other teams and ignore similar games for TN just because you don't like Butch Jones.
My point was the hot seat is fluid and can change in the course of a week during the season.
