you could make a list a mile long of F' ups the past couple of years on Jone's part.... games, media, recruiting, or lack there of, use of athletes, wasting talent, players leaving, shooting his mouth off, poor assistant hires that are not successful..... you could go for an hour....
I still think it is funny that while Vandy was dismantling us at the end of the 3rd and then 4th quarter, Butch just sat there and took it.... no purple face, no yelling, no mixing things up knowing it was about to go sideways.... go back and watch... Dude had checked OUT.

As long as we are winning championships I'm cool with that. If not, then eff her.

Seriously though. If the football program doesn't come back up to standards, then visionary or not, she won't last. Even Vanderbilt is figuring that much out. Regardless of the prestige you have...or want as a University...it's the south and football is still king here.

Should be interesting to see how things unfold.

The sad thing is people would have complained like hell if Butch would have kicked a field goal no I'm not at 100% Butch supporter but I give him credit for going for it on fourth down because it's f****** Vanderbilt you don't kick field goals against Vanderbilt you f****** score touchdowns

Who cares about how we did or didn't score against vandy. It's VANDY. Shouldn't ever be in that position.

Perhaps she will notice a successful (i.e. top 10 -15) program will bring in more funds, increase applications and drive favorable publicity. Hopefully the committee Fulmer and Manning have put together will provide direction on a successful model to incorporate into the football program. Will be interesting to see who are the AD finalists.

I thought it was 3 and yes more room for the d to have to cover with not being on the goal line.

Yeah, I'm thinking we're getting ready to see worlds collide. I'm fairly confident she doesn't think football is king. The AD search went national because she thinks wanting Tennessee people is small-minded.

I say let's give her a chance. Hard to be worse than Cheek. The AD gives money to the university though. A large amount. It benefits academics when football is thriving. Even an academia minded person can see the need for Football funds

It's an old school way of thinking that's not good or bad. It's not that it can't still work, but I agree, it's not as necessary in today's day and age as it used to be. People move a lot more than they used to and have grown accustomed to changing to their environment.
