I love Dobbs but there are times Dobbs takes the checkdown when he shouldn't. I believe we call more deep balls and Dobbs checks down. If this is the case this could change with a new QB. I would need to know more about the reads and actual playcalls to put that on DeBord honestly.

Multiple articles written in October about Kelly going back to Oregon. CEO of Nike was his guest at a 49ers game and it pissed off the brass because they knew what it was about.

He had 2 bad games. One with both tackles out against the best DL in the history of football perhaps.

The USCe game was an embarrassment for everyone. Other than that debord has been damn good against everyone else

As LA Vol said, personal preference. I have spent some time in both areas, and even though I don't like cities, I'd take Houston all day every day.

I don't know what to think about Shoop. The number of injuries were just unreal, but still, we are more talented than USCe and Vandy. We should have been much, much better than we were down the stretch.

Malone, Kamara, Dobbs and Barnett...huge, HUGE props to those guys. Lost in all of this madness is that Barnett tied the sacks record. What a monster. We will miss him greatly. I am grateful for what he has done. He has been a joy to watch.

I'm not all that concerned with the offense. I can't believe this is the case, but other than USCe, we scored enough every game to win. It may not be Sunseri level, but it's pretty close.

Gotta say this thread is the best Vols discussion I have. Variety of points that always makes me think. Thanks to freak for letting us have this safe haven from the main forum.

No, he's not and the fact that you can't see that is disconcerting. Again, the fact that he is inconsistent doesn't make him the problem.

I could have seen him going to SC, if Helton hadn't turned things around. He might stick it out at SF for another year... or UCLA might make a play if/when Mora heads back to the NFL. Doubt UCLA would pay $6M, though.

That would be my guess too. As much as I'd hate to see it Gillespie could bolt if he thinks the ship is taking on water. If we see coaches leaving that we are shocked they're leaving I think that'll be a sign that things are rotten in Denmark.

No idea about his interest in Houston but he is ready for the next move to a better job. If I were him and only choosing between Houston and Miss St, I would take Houston. Houston is primed to keep winning big. Kyle Allen will be the QB for the next year or two. Herman showed you can be in spotlight there and turn it into a dream job. Mullen is a much better coach than he gets credit for because he is at Miss St and nobody really cares about them post Dak. He could go there and increase his stock and Houston is willing to pay
