Debord. Exhibit A, 3 points in the 2nd half against Vandy.
Exhibit B 21 points vs USC, when WCU put up 31 the next week.
They could probably have Chip back for that. I realize he left under not the best circumstances but I'd probably take him back because of familiarity. He makes $6 with SF.
Yes he is. A few good games is not why we have an OC. I don't care if he pads his stats against awful teams in the last month
As LA Vol said, personal preference. I have spent some time in both areas, and even though I don't like cities, I'd take Houston all day every day.I would much rather live in Starkville than Houston. Houston is a terrible place IMO.
I don't know what to think about Shoop. The number of injuries were just unreal, but still, we are more talented than USCe and Vandy. We should have been much, much better than we were down the stretch. Will shoop be back?
I hope Shoop stays and has freedom to hire who he wants. Shoop is better than this. He was top 3 grades DCs in the country. You don't just forget how to coach defense over night. There is more to it than that
So, only 500 rushing yards...We will have a whole year to prep for triple option offense.
Malone, Kamara, Dobbs and Barnett...huge, HUGE props to those guys. Lost in all of this madness is that Barnett tied the sacks record. What a monster. We will miss him greatly. I am grateful for what he has done. He has been a joy to watch.I just wanna give props to Josh Malone...he has quietly had a pretty damn good year. Has improved tremendously
I'm not all that concerned with the offense. I can't believe this is the case, but other than USCe, we scored enough every game to win. It may not be Sunseri level, but it's pretty close. So if only offensive coach to go Mahoney? Would we be ok with that?

Assuming butch is back next year what do y'all think a realistic record is?

EDIT: GT is a toss up though. Obviously can't count Vandy or USCe as a sure win either.

Funny you mention this. We played a scramble a few years ago and the Mullens were there. Megan Mullen seemed to love Starkville and I got the impression they've been very happy there. It's possible Mullen might not want the added pressure and demands of a bigger program. Though he thrived at UF, so who knows? If he wants to make a move, this seems like a good time.
