Plenty of turnovers "worked" for awhile too. It was always an issue.

Everyone sees the issues. But at the end of the day though, we need wins. Sloppy play works for a while, but eventually you get burned

Chickens are clearly home to roost.

I'm going to bed. Can't wait to see what VN has cooked up by morning. My money is on a new scandal within the program. Maybe Gruden's staff :eek:lol:

Still a lot of dominoes to fall in the coaching world. I think a decent spot could open up for Butch if he wanted to leave. Cincy would take him back. They saw how bad it can get with Tubs. 9-10 win seasons would be great for them.

It has to be one thing..The defensive assistants. Basically it amounts to sabotage.

One thing that stood out to me last night was technique.
It was awful.
And this late in the season... sheeesh.
Run fits, wrong shoulder, going around blocks , turning shoulders on line of scrimmage and the worst was DBs attacking the ball with the wrong hand

All of them, teaching points

I'd really like to just go back to an in-your-face Smashmouth football team pro-style offense with a quarterback that can run play-action passes in a defense that is in your face the whole time and a whole team that is big and fast with a good strength coach

Dooley had defenders to the bitter end despite being one of the worst coaches in SEC history.

Jones isn't terrible. Beat Florida. Has a win streak vs Georgia going. Three bowls in a row.

And yet...no defenders.

Just goes to show how unlikeable he is.

He did it to himself not having a strength coach not having a quarterback coach no Player Development and letting the defensive coordinator do whatever the hell he wants and not make adjustments on anything

Buyout of 10 million to fire him

Allow him to walk buyout from him is 4 million that is reduced February 28.

If a small school wants him waive his buyout and save 6 million.

I still can't believe we went from: "Sugar Bowl, maybe?" to "Program in shambles" overnight.

What a difference a loss to Vandy makes.

He did it to himself because he thinks he's doing fine. He thinks his plan is infallible. He is incapable of looking inward.

He's probably arrogant enough to not want fired on his resume. I think he may just leave. My only concern is we don't have an AD in place.

Having a lot of self-confidence is a good thing. Having too much can be disastrous. Fine line between the two.

I don't know what is or has happened, but it is obvious this team is not the same. The first 5 games, was the absolute opposite of yesterday. We let teams get ahead early, then WE adjusted at halftime to outscore the opponent. IMO, it's part coaching, and part.........something else. Don't know what, but I.....I'm not ready to say it is Jones.....just yet. Our secondary coach is not good. (Captain obvious) and the OL coach could be better. D line and linebackers were pretty good.
We just didn't improve as the year went on, and it appears there's something going on in the coaching ranks or players.

I'm just never seen a team with so much on the line and they had their own way of controlling their own destiny this year completely fall apart like that that's a damn shame and it starts up top these guys are not put in position to win from the start
