I worked with an Orthopedic Doctor in Nashville during the last search. He was really connected. He said the administration knew Fisher was trying to use us.

Dan Mullen would be worth considering. He doesn't crack under the pressure of the SEC, he coaches up 3* players, does wonders with QBs and handles the media well. Who knows what he could do with UT's facilities and resources?

Maybe, but there's a lot of good pieces that the right coach would be ecstatic to try and assemble into a stout defense.

And Shoop deserves a lot of criticism, but this may have been the worst year ever to judge his acumen. He will run good Defenses in the future, whether here or somewhere else.

Someone mentioned noone should go to the bowl game to send a message. I'd handle it differently. I'd tell UT the "fans" need 200,000 tickets at 50 bucks a piece and we'll sit in the parking lot at the bowl game. When it's over, fire the bum. You've got your buyout funds now. Boom!
