Took a quick scroll through the Qb rankings for the 2015 class on Tony's beloved 247.

Crazy that Lamar Jackson was 28th

Crazier that without digging deep, 3 players in front of him no longer play QB at their schools.

And in a sign of the times, 6 of the Qbs ahead of him are no longer at the school they signed with including 3 of the top 4.

Butch has to stop saying dumb stuff and losing games that he should win. Then he'll get respect like he wants. If not he can hit the door. Tennessee will be fine.

After losing to SCAR he should not expect a thing. He's earned nothing to talk noise about.

Yeah, he should win every game he coaches and have UT dynastic like Alabama! Then he would earn our respect!

Come on BB, you are pretty good at the whole football thing, but you are the worst about slighting and completely belittling anyone or anything that goes against you in the least.

We went from not winning the East to not winning the East? Our recruiting class this year looks pretty close to those recruiting classes as well.
We went from no chance to winning the East to barely missing it after being decimated by injuries. The 2017 class isn't even close to being finished, so much can change between now and February; it does every year.

Should we have beaten USCe? Yes. But let down games happen. Let's be real here. It sucks.

I am not happy with missing the east title and especially with how sloppy and undisciplined we have played this year. I'm not sure what is going on, but as it is, I think we have to take CBJ's full body of work into account.

OK, the booing-- good example. Every fanbase does that. I paid particular attention to this last weekend. There was booing in every game I watched. Announcers casually commented on it-- "Here comes the booing," etc. Nobody acted like it was any big thing. It's mostly younger fans and I don't think they're all that upset when they do it. It's not a UT thing; it's everywhere-- at college, HS and NFL games and it's not usually rancorous or personal. Most coaches ignore it, so I'm not sure why it bothers CBJ so much.

No. Tennessee has the worst fan base in the country. We don't deserve a championship winning head coach.

50% of Volnation

You don't lose to teams the caliber of SCAR.....

Your teams should close out a game like Florida last year.

His inconsistent teams(especially this year) made fans not trust him more. Then he comes with this "Champions of life" speech. We don't get participation trophies at Tennessee.

Also his handling and coddling of Hurd is crazy. Play your best players and deal with whatever comes.

Bravo sir! This is so perfectly said.

Who's better as a head coach? I would welcome Charlie. He wasn't a good fit at all for Texas.

I don't know who's better but if you don't like the offense now it will not be better under Charlie Strong. Our fan base is a little over the f****** top I agree some changes need to be made but we don't have Nick Saban is our damn coach and people need to realize that

The main thing is recruiting people sit here and brag and cuddle all these three stars were getting , they need to realize four and five stars are what wins f****** championships all this three-star bull s*** is getting old. Strength and conditioning program needs totally revamped revamp our guys are soft offensive line needs to get tougher and everybody on our defense I don't give a s*** if their backups or not needs to improve there's been no Player Development at all

Against the a FCS, #82, and #116 in Total Defense opponents.

10 against Bama. 14 on O against USCe. Having to recover a fumble in the end zone to beat Appy in OT while scoring only 20. Same type stuff the year before only scoring was in the first half then versus second half now. #52 in total offense even after the last 3 games.

And what's the common theme with all of those horrible offensive performances?? We didn't let Dobbs be Dobbs.

Edit: Our fan base is the furthest reason from us not having anything nice

It's one of the reasons, not the only one. The fan base almost single handily pushed Cuonzo out. I'm not saying Cuonzo was going to be great or anything, but the program was doing a lot better under his watch than it has since he left. Obviously, based on Butch's comment caught on camera when kicking the FG against Tech, the fan base seems to be wearing on him, too.

I am surprised that CBJ would consider leaving. We also have to keep in mind that this is pure speculation from our local recruiting gurus. I realize that Fort and Hubbs do have good sources within the program, but, they still cannot know what he is going to do. If Butch thinks that the fanbase and media will be any more "respectful" elsewhere, then he needs to evaluate what he wants. Every fanbase demands you win games that you are supposed to win. People are going to be unhappy wherever he goes. I think that he realizes that most of us appreciate what he has done and hope he is able to continue the improvement we have seen. Do we know what buyout he has to pay if he leaves on his own?

For real? Dooley is still being roasted for Where's Rommel... the orange dog... growing bamboo... opportunity is nowhere. Harbaugh has been mocked mercilessly for his satellite camps... his sleepover... his khakis... now his glasses. People make fun of Freeze's and McElwain's appearance, calling them "Beaver Teeth, "Butter Teeth" and "Swamp Donkey." CBJ hasn't been singled out and bullied. It's what the media, Twitterverse and message boards do in the age of the Internet.

It's no different at ND or Texas. Those are big boy programs, too. Their coaches get their fair share of criticism and ridicule.

I bet those 2 fan bases would love to have a coach right now who has them in position to go 9-3 and a possible sugar bowl invite, after wading through all kinds of adversity and 20+ injuries.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I was fairly content with this season until our SECCG hopes were dashed against SC.

I'm certain I'm in a minority but he's earned more of my respect by continuing to find ways to win down the stretch even though we have been running a different lineup out there every game. His recruiting and player development have put us in a position to win those games despite the injuries.

I'm serious when I say he should get a look for coach of the year if we go to and win the sugar bowl.

Tenn has NEVER EVER been a destination job. That said, it would be mine. 😉

We are a top 10 program historically...that's a destination job. It maybe hasn't been the last decade, but it can be when we have the program hitting on all cylinders and everyone on the administration on board.
