Because he doesn't trust the media. I am not sure I would either, but you have to be careful because the media will help fans turn on you. The media has a job, but this is a new age for click bait and things going viral on social media.

That's one way to look at it.

The other way to look at is that the media gives you an opportunity to promote your team, yourself as a coach, your school, etc. and to speak to the fans.

I haven't been to any high school games lately, but you have heard booing? Why are people booing high school kids? That by itself shows where we are with society. I just didn't get the booing at that time in the TTech game. We were up 35-0. I can understand the booing when we are down before the end of the first half and sit on the ball (although ironically, it has worked out most of the time he has done it).

Yes. High schoolers were booing at the Central-Fulton playoff game on Friday. Austin Price commented on it and the announcers were laughing about it. There was also booing at a Catholic game earlier this year. CBJ was there. It just doesn't seem to have the same connotation to younger fans as it does to older ones. I'm not saying it's right, but it's prevalent.

After reading all these posts, people either have really short memories or don't realize just how bad of a position this program was in before Jones got here. Literally every aspect of the team was in the toilet.

Am I down that we didn't win the east this year? Yes

Do I think it's a disappointing season? Not at all.

Potentially 9-3 with an opportunity to go to the sugar bowl? Hell yes I'll take that!

Butch has been the man everywhere he has been. He has been an untouchable.

But here he is polarizing- loved by half and hated by half.

He isn't used to it.

He thinks he has earned more respect than he is getting.

It's a tough job. It's a tough crowd.

He gives the respect back with bone headed losses. We should be back to back East winners but he can't motivate a team to handle business.

Butch has to stop saying dumb stuff and losing games that he should win. Then he'll get respect like he wants. If not he can hit the door. Tennessee will be fine.

After losing to SCAR he should not expect a thing. He's earned nothing to talk noise about.

If I'm a promising coach with a pulse, no way I sign up for this toxic, backbiting sewer.
